Dear All,

I have submitted the captioned applications to MPSJ today.

However, I have met the Director of Jalan Raya, En. Rostam and his PA En. Azli regarding the humps and junction mirrors, they promised matter will
be attended to by next week.

What he said that no hump is allowed at the curve of the main road (after guard house) so he might only draw the yellow lines to prevent car from speeding.

So Leo, we only install the plastic humps at the barrier gate area only ok. MPSJ will provide the rest if my request falls on their spec.

Meeting With IOI At MPSJ On 16th February 2012 - Puteri Hills Project

Dear resident,

The meeting with IOI at MPSJ is confirmed on the 16th February, 2012 but time has not set as yet. You will be notified once I have the confirmation.

May I again stress to you that this is a very important meeting and a unique occasion to raise our concerns about the future of our Taman. For this reason it is of vital importance that at least 30 residents should attend in order to strengthen our position regarding all the issues that will be discussed.

Our MP YB Gobind Singh and Mr. Tan Jo Hann, MPSJ Councilor, who are extremely busy, will also be present for this meeting too.

Please response by end of this week, for me at achooputeri@gmail.com or to any RA Committee Member to compile the list of attendance and to prepare the questions to be addressed to IOI.

I hope you can make it for this day too. It is very important that you as resident come for it as your voice is always stronger than RA. We are just acting on behalf and yet is not a direct voices.

Puteri Hills's Project

Dear resident,

Tentatively on the 13th or 14th February, 2012, we are going to meet IOI, YB Gobind Singh, Mr. Tan Jo Hann at MPSJ to discuss the issues of Puteri Hill’s project and their future plan on the empty land situated on Jalan 11/1A.

This is a very important meeting and a unique occasion to raise our concerns about the future of our Taman. For this reason it is of vital importance that at least 30 residents should attend in order to strengthen our position regarding all the issues that will be discussed.

You will advise shortly about the confirmed date of the meeting.

Furthermore all residents that would like to give any contribution to our position regarding these issues are warmly requested to send their concerns or questions in order for us to convey them to IOI during the meeting and to have them minute by Jabatan Perancang MPSJ.

We wish to highlight to you that your contractor has trimmed these plants for us only once 6 months ago. Since then nobody has ever attended to these plants.

We also would like to know how frequent or how many times is your contractor be attending to plant cutting and hedge trimming?

MPSJ Aduan: Dirty Streets In Puteri 11

Dear Sirs,

We understand that there is a new contractor taking charge of the cleanliness of our Taman as from 1st February, 2012.

Also we wish to have the name and contact number of the newly appointed contractor for our reference, please?

Sad to say that since 1st of February, 2012, our Taman is so dirty and full of dried leaves on the road because your contractor has not been sending any sweepers or workers for cutting grass/hedges as per photos enclosed.

We shall be most grateful if you can kindly arrange somebody to clean up our Taman at the earliest possible, please.

MPSJ Aduan: Uncleared trash

Dear Sirs,

I wish to bring to your attention that these rubbish from plants cutting have been lying all over our Taman for more than 2 months and each time the garbage truck that comes in for clearance refused to clear them as they claimed it is not their responsibility (please refer to the attached photos).

I seek your clarification on this matter and who should I complain to if this is not of your responsibility to clear them?

If this rubbish clearance is under your jurisdiction, I shall be most glad if you can expedite in sending your man to clear them as soon as possible, please.

These trashes have caused the breed of many mosquitoes around our Taman and we fear that might jeopardize our residents if it happened to breed "Nyamuk Aedes". This can be life threatening.

So please do not delay your attention and necessary action has to be taken immediately, before anyone is hurt because of this abandoned responsibility.

Not only we are protesting against Puteri Hill’s project, we are going to protest at the same time against the initial plan of building apartments at the empty land along Jalan 11/1A too.

Nevertheless, we are going to campaign a Mass Protest and you are required to attend to your Road Rep to sign the petition form. You be given a date for this particular project.

We also request you to join us in this Q & A meeting with IOI, MPSJ, Mr. Tan Jo Hann and YB Gobind Singh, to strengthen the force and to win the protest for both issues which may affect us badly in the future.

Lost Dog

Dear puteri 11 committee members,

Last night around 9pm, a shih stzu was outside my door gate and she looked scared and terrified due to the loud bang of firework. I believe she belongs to one of our neighbour staying around Puteri 11 area. I did walked and ask around but however I am unable to find her owner.

I would like to seek assistance from the committee member here whether you can post a notification in our blog/ forum in case the owner is looking for her/his missing dog?

The dog is currently with me and I do not really know what to do with this dog. And I quite pity her and really hope you all can assist to find her owner. Thanks

Caution Around The Taman

Dear resident,

I would like to bring to your attention that a cobra has been spotted and subsequently killed by one our resident.

We want to raise your awareness on the situation and make sure you are cautious when walking around the taman.

We do not know whether there is another cobra but nevertheless we must be prudent as danger may still be present.

One of the way is to put sulphur around your house to fend off the cobra.

Please stay aware and keep your eyes open.

We refer to your letters dated on 3 rd January 2012, io" January 2012 and 16th January 2012 via email to us and we noted your concerns pertaining to the above matter.

We would like to inform that it is our policy to ensure all developments are in accordance with sound planning and design principles. Although the above site was approved for 422 condominium units, we are proposing only 240 units out of which 120 units are townhouse units and 120 condominiums.

Besides the density of the project had been reduced significantly, the access from Persiaran Puteri has been comprehensively studied. We have been advised by our consultants as well as IKRAM that based on site conditions, the access from Jalan Puteri 11/1 is more suitable and based on the traffic impact study, Jalan Puteri 11/1 has the capacity to accommodate traffic generated from the above development.

Therefore, we are unable to accede to your request to move the entrance and exit of the Puteri Hill project to the main road heading to Puchong Hartamas. Dengan hormatnya, saya ingin mengemukakan bantahan rasmi ini berdasarkan sebab-sebab berikut:

Salah satu sebab saya membeli rumah di atas tanah PT ialah kerana inginkan pemandangannya (penglihatan dari kawasan bukit ke bawah). Model (master plan) di Pejabat Pemasaran IOI, Puchong menunjukkan TIADA pangsapuri yang lebih tinggi daripada aras jalanraya ATAU pembangunan masa depan (ketika itu, Mar/2008) yang akan menghalang pemandangan tersebut.
Pembangunan pangsapuri akan menyebabkan tanah runtuh (sinking) di sekitar kawasan pembinaan dan seterusnya MEROSAKKAN struktur rumah kami. (perkara seperti ini sudah banyak berlaku. Contohnya kerosakan rumah di Wawasan 1 Puchong kerana pembinaan di sekitarnya)
Lot PT54849, 65772 dan 65337 tidak seberapa luas kawasannya. Pembinaan Pangsapuri akan MEMBURUKKAN kesesakan lalulintas yang dihadapi oleh penghuni-penghuni di Puteri 11 and Bayu Puteri.
Saya , sebagai pembeli rumah (owner) tidak diberitahu langsung oleh developer tentang cadangan pembinaan pangsapuri tersebut. Saya ketahui perkara ini kerana terlihat papan-tanda cadangan semasa melawat rumah baru (primrose yang dalam pembinaan).

Further to my enquiry of ref. PHP/JAN/2012 of 3rd January, 2012 AND PHP(1) JAN/2012, 10th January, 2012 pertaining to the Resident Objection to the proposed high rise high density condominium Development on Land Lot No PT 54849, PT 65337 and PT 65772 in Mukim Petaling, Daerah Petaling Selangor submitted to you by my predecessor Mr. Chiam in 2009.

Also regret to note that your email dated 10th January, 2012, hardly answer to any of my questions, but just telling us that your Project team in now looking into this matter.

Furthermore, we doubted very much is this particular project is still under review since your esteemed company has already proceeded with the followings;

Launching this project at the website
Construction work at the site (2 bulldozers were there digging soils and flattening the land)

Having to say this, we wish to highlight to you that in the eye of the legality of Road Safety, it is not right to have the entrance/exit point on Jalan 11/1 which is too narrow and the distant to meet the Highway is also to short, by judging from the plan.

We fear that this cannot cater such heavy traffic density and will definitely put all residents of Puteri 11 and Puteri Bayu in jeopardy.

However, we do not wish to be kept waiting for an affirm reply from you, we therefore demand for an urgent clarification in this matter, to clear our doubts, please.

IOI Replaced Water Tanks for Olivia Houses

This morning IOI had began replacing the water tanks for Olivia houses at Jalan Puteri 11. According to IOI personnel, this is a preventive measure for some defective water tanks.

IOI will contact other Olivia houses to make appointment for replacement.

Nadia and Primrose houses are not affected.

Despite of the Town houses, is your company going to build 2 blocks of prestigious condominiums too?
Where is the actual/exact entry/exit for this project?
Can Jalan Puteri 11/1 (opp. Puteri Bayu) accommodate to such high traffic density?
Can the grounds carry the weight and the density of such huge projects?
Have your project been granted before your esteemed company is launching it?

Commissioning Of Our Security Access System (Barrier Gate)

Dear resident,

I would like to apologize because the “Start- up” date will be delay to early February, 2012 (most probably after the “Chap Goh May” ) instead of before the Chinese New Year, is because;

I have stopped the tag/card collection in the meantime because I am suffering from severe facial burns due to an extreme high fever last week. I will continue with the collections and signing the Terms and Conditions once I am feeling better.
Nobody can attend to any problems of the system (if any arises) as most of the RA Committee members will be back home in the kampong to celebrate Chinese New Year.
There is no provision of shelter neither to residents who are using the Touch n Go system nor to the guards as the awning’s supplier cannot start the installation after the 10th day of New Year.

In view of these reasons we are forced to delay the date of commissioning the barrier gate but the tags/cards will be distributed to you before the Chinese New Year period. You be advised of the date in due course.

Most importantly is that we want to ensure you a smooth flow of the system.

Nonetheless Chinese New Year is approaching, my teams of committee members are so busy with their work and other personal chores, or otherwise they will be there to do the work without hesitation.

However, few of them are helping me out.

I thank you for your reply to our complaint of the poor signal in our area.

Besides having to wait for your application with the appropriate Authority concerned, I wish to know if there is anything we can do to help push the grant that you require?

I do not think that we should wait any further as all Puteri 11 residents have been so badly affected, solely due to a few Puteri 12 residents refusing the commissioning of the Comm-Tower in their area.

In fact not only Puteri 11’s residents were affected but Puteri 12 residents are unhappy as well of the current situation.

It is rather surprising that only a few voices of Puteri 12 residents together with Dato’ Loo Yeng Peng is so influential until local authority and your esteemed company can disregard the majority of the victimized residents grunts and grievances.

Are they the ones paying you our bills? - Till we have no rights at all to enjoy your services?

Dear resident,

We would like to ask all of you to help the RA in the collection of the security fees.

As it is quite time consuming for the RA to collect the security fees 4 times a year, it is advisable to pay this fee with “Post Dated Cheques”, in this way we don’t have to bother you so much asking you every 3 months for the payment.

Post Dated Cheques should be issued as follows:

1st April, 2012 - Rm 180.00

1st July, 2012 – RM 180.00

1st of October, 2012 – Rm 180.00

This Post Dated Cheque collection system will start from immediate effect.

Kindly comply accordingly.

Please do understand that collecting the fees from door to door as it is done today is very unpractical and time consuming for all Road Reps.

So a Post Dated Cheque system could be of great advantage for everybody.

Cheques should be crossed A/C Payee Only and payable to "RA PUTERI 11"

White Ants Issues with IOI

Hi all,

I made a complaint with IOI re the white ants issues at my house. I was informed that the 5 year warranty period started in June 2006 therefore it is OVER.

Warranty start date is when their contractor did soil treatment and not when we purchased the property or when we took vacant possession. When I bought my house their staff told me that its 5 years warranty
I took vacant possession in June 2008 therefore 3 years 7 months only
The Star and Malaysiakini is helping me out on this issue and i have engaged a lawyer also

Due to whiteants my roof is leaking (roof tiles have moved due to lack of support)

Residence, in the newer unit still have some warranty left (Nadia and Nadia2 no more warranty)(Olivia and Primrose still have warranty)

ps : Here i go against again with IOI...

1st issue was refund of booking (booked Lilac) they refused to return the booking eventually they gave in (The Star and my lawyer called them (Christine))

2nd issues was the Condo issue

In fact had small issue of the plastering issues ( small bulges on the walls)

However no one from your office has attended to this problem as yet.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - SECURITY ACCESS CARD

This Agreement sets out the Terms and Conditions which are subject to review at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be notified in writing via Circular to the resident members.

CLAUSES:

The Security Access Card (hereinafter referred to as "the Access Card") is only applicable for security paying resident members of Puteri 11 Residents' Association (hereinafter referred to as "Puteri 11"). The Security Paying Resident (hereinafter referred to as "Resident members")
The Access Card is for the purpose of entry into and exit out of Puteri 11's premises through the electronically controlled barrier gates (long-range smart tag reader and the short range card reader (Touch N Go) and shall at all times remain the property of Puteri 11.
Each paying resident member will be issued with 2 different options as follows:

Option A: Contribution of $200.00 - 1 free smart tag inclusive of card will be given

Option B: Contribution of $ 200 - 2 Free Touch N Go card be given

The 1st Rm 100 is for the contribution of the barrier gate and the 2nd Rm100 is the cost of 1 free smart tag or 2 Touch N go card. The Tag and the card prices are inclusive of barrier gate maintenance fees. Please note that the provisional sum for maintenance is subject to change.
Over and above the (1) smart tag or (2) Touch n Go cards as provided under clause 3 above, Each resident member is eligible to apply for (4) additional tags or card for other vehicles in his household (including motorcycle) in Puteri 11. However, any additional request for new access card (s) will be charged RM 100 per smart tag and RM 50 per Touch and Go Card. The tag and the card prices are inclusive of barrier gate maintenance fees.
All vehicles must be registered before the Access Card is issued to paying resident member.
You may use the Access Card immediately upon collection.
You are strictly not allowed to use the Access Card for illegal purposes or suspicious activities.
You are strictly not allowed to use the Access Card on any other vehicle other than the one already with the coding assigned to the designated registered vehicle by Puteri 11.
You shall not transfer or assign your Access Card to any other person without the prior consent of Puteri 11, failing which the Access Card will be disable for usage.
Card Holders are advised not to disclose any information pertaining to the Access Card to any parties not intended for its usage.
All Access Card issued to the resident members are strictly for their own use in respect of the registered vehicle only. Any resident member who is in breach of such condition will be warned by the security guard and/or refused access to the electronically controlled barrier gates.
No refund will be entertained for any Access Card issued.
You may approach Puteri 11 Committee Member in-charge should you wish to transfer your Access Card to another vehicle; however, your application must be in writing.
If your card is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged, you may contact the committee members' in-charge immediately for a replacement card. Any replacement card will be charged at RM 100 for smart tag and RM 50 for Touch N go Card.
In the case of a technically faulty card, a replacement card will be issued with no additional charge.
For ease of communication, as stipulated under clauses 3, 4, 14, 15 and 16 above, you can contact any committee members:
If your Access Card does not trigger the auto gate to open, please inform the security guards at the Guardhouse to manually open the barrier gate, provided there is a P11 car sticker (of the latest issue)or you may contact any of the committee members for assistance later.
The security guards will not allow any resident members to use Smart Tag/Touch n Go lane entry without the Access Card. It is the responsibility of the resident members to have the Access Card in possession at all times.
If your monthly security fee is overdue for more than 2 months, your Access Card will be temporarily disabled until all the arrears are settled.
Please observe the procedures below when using the Access Card:

a) The speed limit upon approaching the barrier gate for all vehicles shall be below 10 KM/Hr to ensure safety.

b) Please at all times observe "Stop before the barrier gate opens".

c) You are required to wind down your window for the Touch N go facility.

d) Please do not tail through the barrier gate whilst the vehicle in front is making an exit through the barrier gate. Failure to comply with this instruction may result in damages to your vehicle and/or our barrier gate. Arising thereof, any damages caused to the barrier gate will be chargeable under your account.
Please ensure the Access Card is in your possession at all times in order to trigger the auto gate. This is to avoid inconvenience cause to other road users and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in - and out of our premises.
Puteri 11 reserves the right to prohibit any resident member from using the electronically controlled barrier gates if he or she was found to be in breach of the rules and regulations as stipulated above or promulgated from time to time when deemed necessary. We reserve the right to impose upon you to disable the Access Card to Puteri 11 if you do not comply with the said rules and regulations.
Resident members are reminded that the usage of the Access Card is entirely at their own risks. Hence, Puteri 11 and its office bearers shall not be responsible and be held harmless by the resident members against any misadventures, claims and damages suffered by other party arising from any breach by the resident members of the said Rules and Regulations.

Resident members should take every reasonable precaution to ensure that all traffic rules are observed to pre-empt any untoward incidents.
Resident members shall indemnify and keep indemnified Puteri 11 from any claims and/or damages arising from the negligence or wilful default of the resident members or designated users.
Resident members shall endeavour at all times to protect the interest of the Puteri 11 and the Puteri 11 community at large.

这份合约所制定的条款与条件可随时在无需事先通知的情况之下被检讨。若有更变，将会以书面方式在通函上告知居民会员。

条款:

1. 此保安通行卡 (以下称为‘通行卡’) 仅适用于有缴交保安费的公主城第11区居民协会(以下称‘公主城第11区’) 会员。有缴交保安费的居民以下称为‘居民会员’。

2. 此通行卡的目的是用作为通过电子控制的关闸 (远距精明装置[Smart Tag]阅读器及短距卡阅读器 [一触即通 Touch N Go] )进入及离开公主城第11区的住宅范围。此卡拥有权在任何时候都归为公主城第11区所有。

3. 每一位有缴费的居民会员将拥有以下两个不同的选项：

选项 A: 捐献 RM200 – 将会获得一个免费精明装置 (smart tag)，包含通行卡

选项 B: 捐献 RM200 – 将会获得两张免费一触即通 (Touch N Go) 通行卡

5. 在发出通行卡给居民会员之前，所有的交通工具必须先进行登记。

6. 在领取了通行卡之后，您就可以马上使用。

7. 您被严厉禁止使用通行卡达到非法的目的或进行可疑的活动。

8. 除了该辆已经向公主城第11区所登记并且被赋予特定编码的交通工具以外，您被严厉禁止把通行卡使用于其他的交通工具上。

9. 在未经公主城第11 区的事先许可，您不可以把通行卡转让或交付于其他人，否则该通行卡将会被冻结使用。

10. 通行卡持有人受促不要把有关通行卡的资料透露给任何其他不相关的人士知晓。

11. 所有发配给居民会员的通行卡只限于会员使用在他们本身登记的交通工具上。触犯这项条件的居民会员将会受到守卫的警告及/或被禁止在电子控管的关闸通行。

12. 所有已发出的通行卡将不给予退款。

13. 如果要把通行卡转让给另一辆交通工具，您可以联络公主城11区委员会的相关负责人；惟您必须以书面作出申请。

14. 如果您的通行卡遗失、被偷、毁坏或破损，您可以马上联络委员会的相关负责人以便获取补发的通行卡。所有补发的精明装置将会收费RM100；一触即通卡则收费RM50。

15. 如果通行卡发生技术性故障，则可在无需征收费用之下获得补发。

16. 为了沟通上的方便，有关第3、4、14、15及16条款的事宜，您可以联络任何一位委员会成员。

17. 如果您的通行卡不能开启自动门，请告知守卫亭的守卫来为您人工开启关闸，先决条件为您能够展示最新发配的P11 汽车贴纸。此外，您也可以在事后联络任何委员会成员以获取协助。

18. 守卫们将不会允许任何没有通行卡的居民会员使用精明装置/一触即通的通道。随时携带通行卡是居民会员的责任。

19. 如果您超过两个月没有缴交保安月费，您的通行卡将会被暂时冻结使用，直至所有欠款被还清为止。

20. 请在使用您的通行卡时遵守以下的程序：

a) 所有驶近关闸的交通工具的时速必须在10公里以下，以确保安全。

b) 请在任何时候都遵守“在关闸打开前停车”的程序。

c) 如使用一触即通卡，您需要打开车窗。

d) 请不要在前方车子在通过关闸时尝试随尾通过。未能遵从这项指示将可能导致关闸受到破坏，而您必须负责赔偿。

21. 请确保随时携带通行卡，以便能够顺利开启自动关闸。这可以减少对其他使用者带来不便，并且确保进出我们住宅区的交通能够顺畅无阻。

22. 如有任何居民被发现触犯以上所述或之后在有需要的情况下所不时颁布的条款与条件，公主城第11区保留权利禁止任何居民使用此电子控制的通行卡。如果您没有遵守以上所述的条款与条件，我们保留权利强制您冻结使用进入公主城第11区的通行卡。

23. 居民会员须紧记自己必须为使用通行卡负上所有责任。有鉴于此，公主城第11区以及它的委员会任职者将不会为任何事故负责，包括居民会员因没有遵守上述条款与条件而引起任何人的意外事故、损失及破坏。

居民会员应当采取所有适当的防范措施，确保遵守所有交通条例，以便抑止意外事故的发生。

24. 居民会员必须赔偿及弥偿公主城第11区有关会员本身或其指定用户在使用通行卡时因疏忽或故意触犯条款而以引起的索偿及/或破坏。

25. 居民会员必须时刻尽力保护公主城第11区及公主城第11区社区的利益。

Our road is open for use (exit/entry) during the day time but the 2 lanes will then be closed from 6 pm onwards for the contractor to carry out the installation of the barrier gates. This is only for tomorrow 6th Dec.

However, on the 7th (Wednesday) the work resume from 9am. Therefore all exit is through Puteri 12 and entry from p11 for the rest of the week.

Cleanliness Problem in our Taman

Dear resident,

Sad to note that there is people been throwing rubbish on the playground stairway situated at Jalan Puteri 11/3.

As this is our living place, RA is seeking your consciences to help keep the Taman clean and not to simply throw your trash all over the places, please.

Also, I wish to inform you that our Taman is no longer having the sweeper in the meantime because of their resignations. Moreover, it is a very difficult time to hire someone as a lot of the Indonesian maids have left the country due to Immigration formalities.

However, Encik Hassan the Alam Flora Supervisor has agreed to provide us at least 1 sweeper 3 times weekly to maintain the cleanliness of our Taman, whilst searching and to employ new workers.

Here on behalf of the RA and Alam Flora, I ask for your understandings and patience till they succeeded in hiring the workers.

Last Saturday, 17-09-11 (Ci Hang 25th Anniversary Charity Dinner), at about 11.30 am as I was driving to Thean Hou Temple to see how the arrangements go, just near the Federal Auto/Volvo show room, a motorcyclist started to hoot at me and gesturing that something was wrong with my car. Then he passed me by and went on his way.

A few seconds later, another motorcyclist with a pillion rider also came by, this time on my left and started hooting and shouting at me. I slowed down and rolled down the window and asked what was the problem. He shouted in Bahasa that my front wheel brake was leaking with brake oil and he wanted me to stop the car so that he can fix it.

In my mind, stopping on a road with heavy traffic is certainly not the best thing to do and further more what can he do for me, if the problem is a serious one. So I shouted back that I am nearing my destination, without telling him that I was going to Thean Hou Temple. I drove on wary of the 'brake problem'. Seeing that I was gathering speed and making the turn that leads to the Brickfield Police Station (and Thean Hou Temple), they did not follow. At that moment I was rather grateful to these guys (of dark complexion - needless to say you know who, we are not suppose to be racist) .

When I parked the car at Thean Hou Temple, I went and have a look at the front wheel. Sure enough, there were several drops of brake fluid. I was convinced that the brake caliber was leaking and so called Chee Wah to get me a bottle of brake fluid on his way to Thean Hou Temple.

When Chee Wah came with the brake fluid, Lee Gim Hee and I went to refill the brake fluid, but surprised to find the brake fluid container in the car still full! To cut a long story short, when I sent the car to the mechanic on 23-09-11, the mechanic could not find any leakages. Fishy situation, I thought.
Now is the real situation. When I golfed with my friends on 24-09-11, I related the story to them and one of them who stayed at Taman Seputeh said that I was lucky for not stopping otherwise, I could have been robbed. He further added that many residents at Taman Seputeh and the Brickfield areas, especially ladies, have fallen victims and robbed, when they stopped to 'receive' help from these 'samaritans'.

So be alert whenever you are being approached in this manner and in any places, not just Brickfield areas. As long as your car can go, move on and get to the nearest mechanic to check it out, rather than trust some strangers.

Restriction At The Pagola

Dear resident,

We are so pleased that the road has been widened and all lights were installed in every pagolas in the playground and also the one situated in Jalan 11/13.

Only the pagola at Primrose's playground has not been done as yet. You can be assured that we will follow up the matter with MPSJ's contractor.

However, we wish to inform you that nobody is allowed to further install any electrical appliances because the approval was only granted to install two florescent lights at every pagola.

Installing extra electrical appliances without MPSJ grant is a serious offence. So no joke!

Should anyone committed such an offence and is knew by MPSJ, not only they will withdraw every lighting including the free electricity supply for the spotlights, they will also sue the RA asking for compensation.

An unselfish, reasonable and understanding attitude will allow peace and harmony within our community.

Dear Residents,

We have been organizing this event since August 2011 and have succeeded in obtaining a considerably good mousticide for stopping the breed of Aedes and it is non-toxic. There will also activities and games for children. Breakfast is provided.

The event featured a dengue awareness talk, games and quizzes, an exhibition contributed by the local health department, and gotong royong session to clean up mosquito’s breeding grounds.

RA received fullest support from MPSJ Dept. of Health, Yayasan Tunku Naquiyudin (YTN), and Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Petaling (PKD).

The support and concern of MP Puchong YB Gobind Singh, ADUN Serdang Dato’ Satim, P8 Chairman Dato’ Samson, MPSJ Councillor Mr. Tan Jo Hann have made our event more successful.

MP Puchong YB Gobind who officiated at the event expressed his concern and support for the community’s effort to prevent dengue epidemic. He has also highlighted that the importance of Awareness, danger of Dengue, and the fatality rate that is considerably high in Selangor.

Whereas Dato’ Satim emphasized that the larva breed in clear water and is not visible to our eye, which is another danger to it.

However, the Director of Entogenex Dr. Alan Brandt and Dr. Neil Ranaweera, Member of TYN Board of Trustees, said they literally work towards the slogan REAP i.e.:

R for Reduction of mosquito population at their source (breeding grounds)
E for Education for behavioural change
A for Awareness through community engagement
P for Prevention of mosquito bites

Nonetheless the attendance of P12, P10 and P6 Chairman was another strong contribution too.

The event could not be merrier without PKD’s Dengue Truck that has enhanced the ambiance with their musical tools and Deejay.

Che’ Chi Environmental Centre participated in educating our residents the "green" knowledge by creating craftworks with the waste papers.

Children have their fun with games and their participation in the quiz contest organized by PKD and Entogenex.

RA has to thank YB Gobind Singh, Dato’ Hj Mohd. Satim bin Diman, Dato’ Samson, other RAs chairman, residents for rendering their usual supports to us.

Last but not least, I have to once again to thank all my Committee Members for their dedication and hard work in this project.

THE residents of Bandar Puteri 11 Puchong have welcomed the Subang Jaya Municipal Council’s (MPSJ) efforts to widen the road at the main entrance to the residential area.

Residents are also happy with the council’s plan to install lighting for five gazebos in the area.

Councillor Tan Ju Hann, who inspected the ongoing widening work, said the road would be completed within a week.

Tan said the road widening work at Jalan 11/1 started about five months ago following complaints from the residents that it was too narrow and dangerous.

“The gazebos in the area will also be lighted soon, as requested by the residents. The residents complained that the gazebos were too dark and unsafe for residents to come together at night for meeting or chats,” he added

Puteri 11 Residents’ Association chairman Alice Choo said they were happy with the quick response from the council.

She said the council had spent RM20,000 on the road widening works and the lighting for the gazebos.

“We are also happy that the council has approved six additional parking bays for the residents at Puteri Bayu apartment.

“The residents have been receiving compound notices from the police and MPSJ in the past for parking illegally.

“I am glad that these problems have finally been resolved,” she said.

this morning regarding all the pending 3 projects (Road Widening, 5 Pagolas Light & repair of Reflexology Stone) in our Taman, which 2 have been accomplished finally.

Mr. Tan is still helping us very intensely on the repair of the reflexology stones with MPSJ.

Today work started for the widening of the road.

The job is expected to be completed within 3 to 5 days (according to the weather conditions).

The width of the road will be extended by extra 10 ft in order to allow the positioning of the barrier gate and the passage of bigger vehicle.
The widening of the road will also allowed the transit of the fire brigate truck.T
The length of the road will be extended by 20 ft long as per MPSJ authorization.

Great news!!!!!!!

First we have to convey a big thank you to Mr. Tan Jo Hann, Jkp Zone 16 Chairman, who has been very kind in allocating us the funds in widening the road and also the lighting for all the pagolas in our taman.

Also, another heartfelt thanks to Mr. Tan Jo Hann, our MPSJ councillor, and his PA Ms. Sharifah, who have worked very hard for this past 5 months in helping us to obtain the approval of the funds from MPSJ.

However after this long hard work, the results are fruitful.

Finally, we got the authorisation from Mr Tan that MPSJ has authorised the funds to widen our road 20 ft long x 10 ft wide.

Work is commencing from tomorrow (11 OCT 2011) from 9 am onwards and this project will take at least 1 week to complete.

Lighting with timer will be installed in all the 5 pagolas in our taman once the widening of the road has completed.

Please bear in mind that during this time the flow of traffic can be affected.

In view of having a smoother flow of the traffic, may i suggest you to access the road at Puteri 12 for your entry/exit purposes during this 1 week period.

This morning at 9 am policemen were issuing saman to all cars that were parked along Jalan 11/1A.

Having police and MSPJ enforcement dept joint forces, we hope it will remedise the condition by reducing gradually the number of cars parking along this road and eventually help stopping this parking attitude.

Towing Of Car At Puteri Bayu - 5 Oct 2011

Dear Resident,

RA is very much aware that the problem of the illegal parking at Puteri Bayu has reoccured during these 2 weeks.

Nonetheless, we have been asking the police to continue issuing saman but still we could not stop this illegal parking.

Owing to the narrowness of the road, MPSJ Engineering Department cannot approve our request for installing the road divider.

After numerous complaints made to MPSJ Penguat Kuasa Division, we finally succeeded to have them towing one car.

The Pengarah of Penguat Kuasa has instructed his team to tow any car that is parked along the curve from now onwards.

Therefore, should any of you see car parking along the curve till the junction, please either contact MPSJ Aduan 03 5637 6545 / mpsj@mpsj.gov.my personally or to me at 017 320 4619 for action.

The RA of Bandar Puteri 11 organised on the 16th September, 2011 an event to celebrate the mooncake festival in conjunction with our 54th Independence Day.

The event was very successful with more than 350 participants. There was good vegetarian food and a lot of entertainment provided by the residents and their friends. It was truly an inhouse party.

Many VIP(s) participated : our Puchong MP YB Gobind Singh, YB Teresa Kok, Datuk Samson and Datin Jo, MPSJ councillor Mr Tan Jo Hann, Community Policing Selangor Chairman Mr Kuan Chee Heng, the police inspector of Puchong Encik Halimi, Sarjan Mat Sood, Gasing Indah RT Vice Chairman Mr Eric Chew, MBA President Mr Michael, Puchong Rela V.Chairman Mr William Chang, Puteri 12 RA Chairman Mr Allan Ng with all his committee members, Mr Chua Teck Boon from Muar and the newly appointed Malaysian Ambassador for Croatia.

The entire guests gave a small speech underlining the importance of the unity of the community, the role of the RA and the importance of the supports from the residents to the RA. As without a strong backing from the residents the RA cannot be successful in reaching and delivering results.

The entertainment consisted in magic shows, Chinese yo-yo, Chinese harp, Chinese flutes and face-changing (pian bin) magic.

A lucky draw and fire works were held at the end of the evening.

盧永平在接獲居民投訴後，前往該公園巡視后表示，梳邦再也市議會耗資大筆款項，在該公園增設鵝卵石走道，詎料受委的承包商卻沒依據規格興建，令居民怯步，造成該設備形同虛設。

他指出，休閒公園是一個提供樂齡運動設施的場所，不恰當的設施反而會弄巧反拙，居民不但無法達到休閑與運動的目標，反而還會受傷害。

涼亭無照明設備

“除了鵝卵石走道外，該公園也面對缺乏照明燈不足問題，尤其是居民在清晨前往公園晨跑時，常因燈光微弱，跌倒或在樓梯摔跤。”

他說，該公園的3個涼亭設置沒有照明設備，導致涼亭在入夜後就漆黑一片，居民無法使用。

“有鑒於此，市議會受促關注該區的公園設備問題，儘快提昇和維修，讓居民擁有良好的休閑設備，以及活動空間。”

此外，他也建議市議會在公園設置適合樂齡人士作使用的運動設施及基設，如行人道，讓樂齡人士可在安全的環境下運動。

他是在今日與蒲種公主城第11區居民會面，以及巡視休閑公園設備後，如此表示。

兩年前申請維修未受理

盧永平指出，居民透露，該居協曾在兩年前向市議會提出提昇和維修公園設備的申請，不過至今都沒有任何進展。

“事隔2年後，問題逐漸惡化，而市議會卻漠視居民的問題，甚至以各種理由推卸，才會導致今日的局面。”

有鑒於此，他將與居民保持聯繫，並將在近期致函給市議會，要求當局正視居民的投訴。（星洲日報／大都會）

GOH Kim Chuan woke up from sleep in the middle of the night by the noise from the ceiling fan in his room that was spinning at an unusual high speed.

“The fan was not this noisy usually. A loud bang ensued and I went to check on the fuse box of my alarm system, and found it burnt,” the 72-year-old resident of Puteri 11 in Bandar Puteri Puchong said.

Goh was among some 80 houseowners affected by the sudden surge in electricity at their homes at about 3.30am on Monday.

The incident left them with damaged electrical appliances, automatic gates and alarm systems. Fortunately, no fire happened and no one was injured.

TNB officers, who came within 20 minutes upon receiving calls from the residents, discovered that some parts in the substation were missing.

Residents’ association chairman Alice Choo said they were told that the parts were replaced by cables without a neutral line.

“How could the parts be stolen when the substation was locked up? The TNB officers claimed that it must be the job of outsiders who possessed their uniforms and keys.

“They said the theft did not occur recently but a couple of months back, adding that it was not the first case in Puchong. Shouldn’t they conduct routine checks instead of attending to it when there’s a problem?” she said.

Choo added that the security guards of their guarded neighbourhood usually let the uniformed officers in without asking them to surrender their identification cards.

“In view of the latest incident, we have now asked the guards to accompany them to the places they want to go and check on them every 10 to 15 minutes,” she said.

Another resident, Khor Ling Ling, 50, said it was like having fireworks and firecrackers in the house when the incident happened, with sparks emitting from the electrical items.

Her built-in kitchen hood, computers, phones, ceiling fans, modem, alarm system and a whole set of audio visual equipment are not able to function anymore.

“An electrician said there was still an oversupply of power when he came over to check. I have so far spent about RM500 to repair the alarm system and automatic gate, and expect to pay a lot more since my electricity cables are all buried in the walls,” she said.

Quek Chek Puay, 57, spent about RM2,000 to repair the burnt and blackened fuse box.

“A strong burnt plastic smell hit my nose as I opened the storeroom door. The fuse box was emitting smoke and was so hot,” he said.

Choo added that the TNB officers said the company would not compensate the residents for loss, but the residents want the company to be held responsible for the incident, which left them worrying about their safety.

“We are afraid that it will happen again,” Quek said.

The residents also pointed out that they were made waiting on the line when they called the TNB Puchong branch or TNB Careline. The calls were sometimes unanswered.

Puchong MP Gobind Singh, who met the residents yesterday morning, advised them to form a committee, list down the damages and file for compensation from TNB.

“I will speak to TNB and a get a report from them over the incident.

“I have been to a flat in Puchong Permai when the lift stopped working because of a similar problem. TNB should look into the issue seriously,” he said.

When contacted, a TNB spokesman said the excessive voltage happened because the busbars in the feeder pillar were stolen by thieves who had broken into the substation compound.

“Selangor TNB will contact the residents association for further discussion and action,” he said.

（蒲种6日讯）深夜睡梦中家里部分电器突然噼啪作响，居民更骇然嗅到浓烈烧焦味，原来是过量电压涌入，居民为恐电线短路引发火灾，彻夜无法入眠！

担心电线短路引火灾

这起惊险事件是于昨日凌晨约3时30分，在蒲种公主城第11区发生。由于一座电房配电柱（feeble pillar）被偷，过量电压涌入民宅，造成70户居民家用电器严重损坏，包括保安系统、自动门、电掣、电箱、闭路电视、冷气机、电灯、音响系统及电脑等等。

据了解，发生电压过量的问题时，有居民在客厅眼睁睁看着灯泡一个个轮流爆裂，有者则看见风扇异常的快速转动并发出声响，令人心惊胆颤。

一些居民在睡梦中惊醒时，在重新启动电器如冷气机、风扇等的电掣时更是火花四溅，饱受惊吓。

电房是坐落在第11区11路及13路旁，据居民描述，事发时突然听见连串噼啪声响，也发现家用小型电箱传出浓烈烧焦味，而且住家保安系统马上鸣响，自动门应声敞开。

居协主席朱丽诗指出，当晚事发后，居民被惊醒纷纷走出户外查看究竟，国能也于凌晨4时派员前来检查电房，才发现电房内配电系统其中的7个小链接（mini link）以及5个配电柱（feeble pillar）被人偷走。

她透露，据悉，有关配电柱是输入住家的电流电压控制系统，而她陪同国能技术员进入电房视察时，配电柱及小链接被偷走后，空隙部分以看起来像普组电缆外层裹着，而且电缆已有被烧焦熔化的迹象。

“高压电流涌入后，有者的家马上停电，有的住家电灯泡还在冒烟，情况骇人。”

朱丽诗：多住宅区电柱被偷疑小偷冒充国能职员干案

朱丽诗指出，经维修电房的国能技术员透露，有关配电柱被偷的个案在公主城第11区并非首例，类似事件也曾在蒲种山庄及宏愿花园发生。

特别锁难以仿制

此外，她疑惑的是国能电房的锁头是难以仿制钥匙的特别锁，无法理解小偷如何及何时进入电房？

“我问过保安人员，歹徒可能是冒充国能职员进区内的电房做维修工作，但会否有其他原因呢？“

朱丽诗也在现场要求保安经理莫翰，留意日后若有任何未出示证件的国能人员或官员进出该区，都须陪同对方进入社区，并且每隔10至15分钟留意社区情况。

她也说，国能技术员尽管在当天上午9时已修复电房配电系统，但据部分已展开维修家电的居民反映，电工到他们家中测量电压时，仍发现有超过正常220瓦特的电流流动，暂时不能随意启动电掣。

“我们也联络国能反映这项问题，但对方指当局并不会对事件作出赔偿。”

居民·吴金全:电箱火花四溅

那天，我和太太都看见睡房的电风扇突然快速转动，而且发出很大的声响，见到情况如此异常，我们走出房门。在客厅马上就嗅到储藏室传来焦味，打开门就看到电箱火花四溅。

这次受影响家用电器损失我还没计算，但自动门会在今天下先行修理，大约花费200令吉。其他还有门铃、冷气、电掣、电灯和保安警钟，都已经损坏。

居民·许琳琳:12种家电烧坏

我请电工到我家修理刚买不久的家电，在修音响系统时，电工做了电压测试，感应电器上有电源，我一开电掣就噼啪作响。

我里至少有12种家电都已经烧坏了，现在全都原封不动，重要的是这种电流不稳定的情况可能会持续，而且我也不敢贸然开电掣使用。

电灯和风扇都不能同时开电掣使用之外，我已经修好的自动门和保安系统也花了500令吉。

蒲种区国会议员·哥宾星:应速采取防范措施

国能既然知道蒲种公主城并非首个地区发生类似事件，应尽早采取防范步骤，避免问题再度发生。

无论如何，我会搜集居民所有资料及照片，稍后致函国能，并与当局会面了解情况。

我是在接获居民投报后，于上午10时抵达公主城第11区聆听投诉，朱丽诗也反映事件发生当天，警方也有亲自到区进行口头记录，她也在今午到警局报案。

（雪蘭莪‧蒲種6日訊）不法之徒冒充國能技術人員，竊走蒲種公主城第十一區電房內的電壓線，導致約70戶發生“跳電”，進而造成多戶家電和電箱損壞。

這宗意外是發生在星期五凌晨約3時30分，當時大部份的居民已入睡，突然聽見小爆炸聲，接著一些住家的很多家電都冒煙和產生火花，嚇得居民連忙跑出家外，所幸沒人傷亡及發生火災。

損壞電箱在住家範圍
國能：不負責維修

國能派人到該花園瞭解時表示，由於損壞的電箱和家電都是在居民住家範圍，國能不負責維修。因此居民都先後找來其他的維修員前來修理。目前大部份的屋子都已經恢復電流，只是部份電器還未維修。

該區居協主席朱麗詩表示，經她與居民瞭解後，雖然影響的只有其中三排屋子，並發現部份居民家裡的電箱突然著火，多數電器的插頭都被燒壞。

“當居民致電通知國能時，他們也在凌晨4時許抵達現場。技術人員檢查後表示，由於這不是他們管轄範圍，因此他們沒辦法維修。”

電房門曾遭人開啟

同時，他們也說，該區電房門曾遭人開啟，並偷走了電壓箱裡的電線，以普通電線取代，另外也偷走5個電掣。

據朱麗詩瞭解，這電房的鑰匙只有工作人員才有，而且是特製的，不是不同鑰匙可仿造的。然而，由於這事件所造成的損失不小，而國能方面也表示，這不是他們的失誤，賠償事宜難處理。

她強調，居民相信不發之徒穿上國能制服，假裝維修電壓箱，其實暗中在幹案。而技術人員也說，類似事件已經不是第一次發生，曾遭遇此意外的包括蒲種柏蘭嶺、蒲種烏達瑪及蒲種宏願花園等。

朱麗詩：國能應常檢查電房

為此，她決定往後不管穿制服還是沒制服的技術人員及梳邦再也市議會工作人員進入範圍內，都需要一名保安人員隨同，並在沒10至15分鐘檢查一次行縱，以免這事件再次重演。

她也認為，為了偷電掣事件再次重演及保障居民的安全，國能應經常前往各花園的電房檢查，而不是將責任推到居民的身上。

風扇及電腦主機噴火花

“事發那天大約凌晨三時左右，發現風扇及電腦主機有火花，而電箱燒得黑黑的，嚇得我們全家以為會發生火災。

昨天已經馬上叫人修理了，現在煤氣電爐沒辦法修理，因為之前把電線路已經安裝在牆裡，預計需要1萬8千的維修費。”

風扇沒轉以為是停電

“凌晨3時左右，聽到家裡有劈劈叭叭聲，然後就看見火花，風扇就沒有轉了。當時我還以為是停電，打開電箱一看，整個電擎頭溶掉。”

“當時家裡只有我和太太，看到風扇轉很快，然後就停了。家裡的警鐘一直響，警鐘的電線板也突然被燒得黑黑的。

如果國能沒解決好，我可能考慮購買防止高電壓器。”

哥賓星吁列名單供商討賠償

另外，蒲種國會議員哥賓星表示，他將會與國能負責人見面，以商討後續的行動，並呼吁居民將所有損失的名單列出來，以方便他與有關負責人商討賠償事宜。

他也答應朱麗詩，一旦她向警方報警後，他也會向警方跟進有關事件的進展。

It is sad to see there is a high percentage of Malaysians still having a bad perception of the police force just because of some bad apples out there.

I, for instance, was one of them.

Having lived abroad for the past 31 years, I heard or read a lot of bad things about our police whenever I came back to Malaysia for holidays.

I never imagined or expected to work closely with the force until I was involved with a residents association.

Six months of working closely with the Serdang police are enough for me to acknowledge and confirm that I have been wrong about the police force all this while. The actual scenario is not even close to what others have been preaching to me over the past few years.

Personally, I find the majority of them casual, friendly, caring, attentive, helpful and effective. This is a fact and I am not trying to boot-lick anyone.

Our RA, for example, has been patrolling with the police in various parts of Puchong, especially areas deemed as crime hot spots, for some time now.

The policemen are keen to ensure our safety and ever willing to join us on our foot patrols for hours and hours at night.

I have witnessed this so many times and am grateful for their sacrifices and contributions.

As a matter of fact, Serdang OCPD Supt Abd Razak Elias is expected to join our patrols on July 29. Everyone is welcome to join in.

The public should change their perception of the police and work together with them to fight crimes instead of complaining.

Blast Of Electricity At Jalan 11/11 And Jalan 11/13

Dear residents,

I am so sorry about the happenings.

I have asked the TNB officers who were here this morning if we can claim for any sort of compensations to all the household goods damages.

I was told that each of you have to file in a complaint personally as you know better of what exactly happened in your premises and what are the things damaged due to this blast of electricity before any repair take place.

First ask if TNB will sent you their technician to verify the condition before the repair to prevent them from having any excuses or loopholes. If they were to ask you to look for your own electrician to attend to the problem, I will then suggest you to note down the officer's name when you are required to refer back to him/her in future.

After your complaint, you are then have to furnish me the report reference before RA will help issue another complaint to TNB.
Although this is not of RA responsibility, I promise you that we will try to assist you in whatever way we could in getting you some compensation but
we cannot affirm you a success in achieving it.

We no doubt will give a try and do our best.

RA intended to organise this event at the playground on the 16th September, 2011, Friday.

This is our 1st ever festivity event and we hope you will support us in participating and making this event a success.

RA main intention of having this event is to strengthen the ties of neighbourhood and a closer bonding among one another.

IN our neighbourhood, Bandar Puteri 11, Puchong, we were proud to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the country's independence.
We worked hard to decorate our roads and houses with Jalur Gemilang, because we believed that our country was unique in its cultural diversity.

What differentiates Malaysia from many other countries is that we are a mix of so many cultures and different religions but co-exist peacefully.

Road blockage due to IOI Properties Construction (Jalan Puteri 11/17)

I am writing this letter to complain about the disposal of Building Materials by IOI Properties , which cause the blockage of road and drainage, in the road in front of my house (Jalan Puteri 11/17) during the construction of the semi-D. The blockage causes hazard to the residents and drivers and other inconveniences. Refer to attached photos for your info.

I humbly request you to take action against the developer who causes inconveniences to residents to remove the materials immediately from the road which belongs to MPSJ.

I attended the "My Distress Program" launched by our CPO YB Dato’ Tun Hj Hisan bin Hj Hamzah on 24th August, 2011 at IPK Klang.

This is a pilot project of contingent of Selangor to improve the communication system opted to overcome communication problem during emergency.

This is a superb system for us to use only in Selangor at the moment. It is only applicable to all "Smartphones" (Apple IPhone, Android, Blackberry and Java) with Internet and GPS functions.

It is so easy to install on our hand phones.

You just have to download application at http://mydistress.net from your smartphone.

Access application and select the Profile button and register your personal details by entering your Full Name, Ic No, Mobile No and Email address (if available).

Select the preset Location SOS button to register the location you are at by entering name of building, name of location, address of the location, etc. You are required to set outside the building or premises that the GPS can be detected.

Upon registration, POLICE and HELP (Apple & Android) / ON SOS (Blackberry & Java) icons will appear on screen.

Registration is based on Phone number.

MyDistress should ONLY be an emergency and you need an immediate response to crime/incident happened now or if anyone/property is in imminent danger.

Emergency is when a crime is happening, someone suspected of a crime is nearby, someone is injured, being threatened or in danger.

Should anyone misuse or abuse MyDistress 3 times consecutively, PDRM reserves the right to suspend this services to the user, as this abuses/misuse can be misleading and diverted crucial resources.

For everyone Security/Safety, I suggest you to address this to your family members, relatives and friends to utilize this facility that will sure help our Police Forces to advocate IMMEDIATE ALERTNESS and would be able to dispatch Police to the location fast, effective and accurately.

Dear resident,

You are all requested to avoid parking at the corners of the road as this causes poor visibility and accident.

Please also advise all visitors, relatives and friends to park properly without blocking neighbours' cars as in many cases improper parking causes unnecessary difficulties to your neighbours when moving their cars.

Lorry owners should also be informed that parking of lorry in the taman is prohibited by MPSJ and the applicable fine is rm 5,000.00. Therefore, please look for an alternative parking space.

For security purposes, taxi or visitors should not use the Puteri 12 access road to enter the taman.

Dog lovers, please clear your dog business as a matter of courtesy to all residents and to keep our taman clean.

Please put your new car sticker in place in order to help our security to give a fast and efficient service. Starting from the 1st October, 2011, all cars without the new sticker will be registered by the security at the gate.
