Meet up this Sunday at 9:00 am, playground venue

Dear All,

Lets meet up this Sunday at 9:00 am, playground venue, to discuss a few issues i.e. road humps, parking, security services, RA approval and condominium development etc.

Mahendra, please check with MPSJ for latest condominium update, seems there is drilling work being carried out.

Thanks and cheers,

Chiam

Dear All,

I have just been informed by our Councilor at MPSJ, that there has been no further development at MPSJ with regards to the proposed condominium development. IOI has yet to submit to MPSJ any of the studies and reports required of them. He is keeping a close watch for us and will inform me as soon as there is any news.

Regards,

Chiam

Update:

With regards to the proposed condominium, MPSJ informed us that they still have not received the various studies and reports requested from IOI three months ago. Our MPSJ Councilor Mr Tan Jo Han will inform us when there is any new development.

We also regularly call up MPSJ to find out from their officers. One IOI marketing officer remarked that the condominium project is temporary put on hold because of complaints received from Puteri 11 residents. We suggest every Puteri 11 residents to send a complaint each to IOI and MPSJ if you have not already done so.

Update:

Dear Committee,

Mr Mahendran sent me an sms yesterday telling me that a Cik Siti from the Registrar of Society called him to inform that our application for the Bandar Puteri 11 Puchong Residents Association has been approved. Mahendran who is currently overseas will collect the letter from ROS when he returns to Malaysia next week.

  1. seems petty issues (eg. road humps, security etc) take higher priority than condominium developement. At least this is the impression that i have.

If i remember correctly, this blog starts after being triggered by condominium development concern. Blog was used to gather puteri11 residents together to build up objections to this condominium developement.
are we losing steam ? or we have shifted our objective ?

  3. To the Anonymous that said Road Humps and Security is PETTY ISSUES compared to condominium development.

Now, I agree, condiminium development is HUGE, but what are you going to do while you wait for the decision of the development, do nothing, sit down and do nothing? As you know condominium development protest will take time to resolve, its not something we can solve and have a quick win straight away

What we are asking is, instead of waiting and doing nothing, which is so unproductive, can we work on issues that has quick wins like road humps and security

Speeding is an issue in Puteri 11, everyday without fail we have formula 1 drivers speeding and I bet you every single dollar I have in my bank account, someone will get knock down or meet with an accident very soon.
Dont you value LIFE? Is LIFE not important? What if someone speeding kills an old man jogging? What if someone speeding kills a kid walking with his parents on an evening walk? So are you going to wait till the condominium protests is resolved (which will take donkey years) and by than we would have lost lives?

Security, now, how many robberies we have had in Puteri 11 so far? 2 or 3 cases reported. So isn't security important

The 2 issues we are discussing and trying to resolve are LIFE threatening. Condominium development is important, but can I ask if we lose the case and IOI develops a condominium, what will we lose eventually? Money.... which is our property value will depreciate. But is that life threatening?

Sometimes I feel Malaysians, all they care about nowadays is MONEY and not LIFE.

  4. Dear Mr Chiam,

First of all, thank you for all the efforts in making puteri 11 a good place to live.

It is very important to let all the puteri 11 residents know that the meeting is on this sunday morning. However I don't think many residents are aware of this besides to those who are reading this blog.

I suggest the pro term RA committee can annouce this meeting event to everyone by putting up a banner near the guardhouse.

    Thank you.

  5. No..no..I do not mean road humps & security are not important matters. It was my poor english and use of wrong words which lead your guys to have that imnpression. I am sorry ! In fact, i feel sad for many victims of poor basic security and traffic accidents in our country and yet our goverment does not put these as top priority in running the country.

RA did a good job. Just that i am equally concern of the new condominium which may bring nightmares to our puteri-11. I love my neibourhood. cheers.

  6. Hi Anonymous
Thanks for your feedback, and I did not mean as well to be harsh or sarcastic, I was just merely debating on the topic of road humps and security with you
I agree as well, the way our country is runned is pathetic to say the least. MPSJ is not accountable for road humps and security, they just collect "Cukai Pintu" which is used to collect our rubbish and cleaning the area up with the grass cutters and the sweepers. I dont see anything in terms of actively:-
    1. Ensuring the roads have speed bumps
    2. Ensuring they fix our street lamps which has malfunctioned on time.
    3. Fogging the area often for dengue to prevent mosquitoes

Sad to say this is Malaysia, and we need to take matters into our own hands.
As such Condominium development and our protests is important, but I think we can leverage on working the speeding issues and security faster by concentrating on all these 3 initiatives hand in hand.

  9. do you all know that the swing (the one nearer to Nadia 2) at the playground nearer to Puteri 12 hillslope is faulty ?

the base foundation is loose. So when a child is swinging away on the swing the base leg tends to move. One day, it will definitely collapse due to its base not rooted firmly to the ground.

i reported this to www.myioi.com and the customer service staff refuse to even look at it but just called me to say that the playground is no more under their jurisdiction but under MPSJ now since it has been handed over.

Does IOI have any corporate social responsibility to look into it before a child hurts herself/himself ?

without exagerating, the swing is really bad and needs repair and it has been just a year.

i hope the RA Comm members will take note of this

  10. what is outcome from meeting? hulk hogan and gang no issues?

  11. i personally went to check on the swing as mentioned by "Concern Parent" and he/she was telling the truth. The swing is quite dangerous if a child were to use the swing.

according to "Concerned Parent", IOI will not do anything.

does the RA know anyone in MPSJ ?

let's do something about it before a child hurts herself
