Meeting With Puteri Bayu Chairman And Sarjan Mat Sood Re Illegal Parking

Dear All,

Refer to our meeting with Mr. Victor Chan, Chairman of Puteri Bayu RA and Sarjan Mat Sood this evening, pertaining to the illegal parking on Jln Puteri 11/1.

However, the car park slot is full and they have nonstop putting forward their complaints and requests to MPSJ and IOI respectively.

Suggestions raised are as follows:

  1. Requested Puteri Bayu to allow residents without parking lots to park right behind another car inside their parking area freeing the handbrake
  2. Mr. Victor will do a percentage survey through his residents vote
  3. Two RA(s) will join force to protest against the illegal parking to MPSJ and also to IOI requesting them in sponsoring Puteri Bayu a parking space or to build a back door at the side of the wall facing the main road to Puchong Hartamas.
  4. Will issue a letter to MPSJ requesting for extra of 10 parking lots along the roads and it will be signed by both P11 and Puteri Bayu RA(s) or by widening the road by at least 2 meters wide
  5. P11 RA will still forward a complaint letter (with attachment of photos) to Sarjan Mat Sood requesting for the placement of cone around the curve leading to the main road, hoping this can be a temporary solution to this on-going problem.
Should anyone have a better suggestion in this particular issue is very welcome.

The cars park illegally on the curvy slope, that is the most concerning part. Not only blocking the traffic but could lead to accident due to blind spots.

Actually, immediate action while waiting for long term solution, we can encourage the car owners to park along the main road before leading to the hill slope. Generally, the traffic there is lesser and is less hazardous to park there.

Now, they might argue distance/security, I doubt this is valid strong reason. Some apartments car park is like "miles" away.

To "encourage" them to shift parking, we can consider put up obstacles on the curvy slope and prevent any more illegal parking.

This is not to make Puteri Bayu's resident life tough, but for the safety of all. If I accidentally scratch and bang into the car park illegally at the curvy slope, it won't be nice right?

  2. Actually it would be nice for IOI to turn part of the empty land where they intended to build the condominium into a parking lot. Would be a good Ang Pow for Bayu Puteri and Puteri 11 residents in 2011. It may seem that I am day dreaming BUT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE YA? Anyone suggested this to IOI before? Maybe you have, good try.

  3. Dear Puchong Puteri 11,

Thank you for your every concern in this matter as much as we do.

We have in fact proposed couple of solutions to Mr. Victor Chan, Chairman of Puteri Bayu RA, please refer to my message on blog.

Thus far, Mr Victor has tried ways and means but were to no success.

Somehow, we have decided to join force requesting IOI to build a side door facing the main road leading to Hartamas with hope that their residents can and will park their cars elsewhere. Again no commitment from me as it is still very much depend on Puteri Bayu residents co-operation.

We are going to submit our complaint letter to Sarjan Mat Sood requesting for the approval for the placement of cones around the curvy site.

If you do have any better solution in solving this problem, please do let us know and we shall be pleased to view on it.

Thank you and happy new year to you and family.

  4. Dear Mr. Liew,

I doubted that IOI will convert the empty land in front of Puteri Bayu into a car park.

We be meeting IOI Project Manager and her assistant somewhere next week and I will forward our request to beautify P11, to build 2nd guard house at the P11 / P12 access, a marble label, auto boom gate and of course "angpow" if possible.

Finger crossed for a positive reply, but can't promise you anything and I hope you understand the situation is not under our control.
Thank you for your contributive suggestion and your continous support will be highly appreciated.

Kong Hei Fatt Choy to you and family. May you have the most successful and prosperous year.

  6. Dear RA committee,

I am wondering why do we need to increase the number of guard to 12. Is it absolutely necessary? I believe it would be more appropriate if our RA committee can get consent from fellow residents of Puteri 11 before engaging additional 2 more guards.

  7. Dear Stephanie,

Presently we have 5 guards through out the day. 2 are based at the main guard house, 1 at the back road accessing to P12 and 2 for patrolling.

The actual situation of having only 2 patrolling guards does not grant a proper supervision of all our areas. So we must increase by 1 more to have a safer enviroment.

In this way, 1 guard will patrol Primrose, another 1 for the lower Nadia and Olivia and the last 1 for the upper Nadia and Olivia residents.

As the security fee is meant to grant a full and appropriate safe enviroment, it is not necessary to get consent from Residents to implement security measure.

The RA took this decision to fulfill its commitment to grant security.

I hope this clear your doubts and thank you for your comment.
