Please do not burn incense at park

Please do not burn incense at the park. The park belongs to all residents, not your personal worship altar. When you burn incense at the park, everybody have to suffer from the damage and dirty left-overs. If you must burn, please burn it within your car porch area. Maybe then you will remember to clean up the place. Now the children who plays at the playground suffers from your inconsiderate actions.

  7. no wonder so many houses going for sale in puteri11. full of idiots and unkind residents in this place.

  8. Agree, please burn in your own house, that is respecting other people's religion
When you say respect other people's religion, you need to do it as well
Do you like if other religion come and burn things in front of your house?
They will say its their religion and that they must burn opposite of their house, which too bad for you, you are staying opposite of their house
    You wont like it right?
So burn in your house, stop making our area ugly, this is not Kampung Puteri 11. This is Bandar Puteri 11. So many people migrate from Kampungs to KL but they carry their Kampung mentality here, this is a modern city, I dont see Singaporeans doing the same, burning in parks and polluting the taman, dont tell me they dont pray, how come they can do it but not Malaysians?

  9. singaporeans burn it in bins provided by the RA

  10. I dont see any issue's about whether or not we are respecting other religion. Whats wrong with people of different religion practicing their religious rights side by side... thats really not an issue here.

The issue is, the person who did this were very inconsiderate by messing up the place. They should have at least used a zinc sheet or something and cleaned up the place later.

  11. I fully agree with GOD's comment...very inconsiderate and uncivilised act.
In Singapore the laws are very well thought over and strictly enforced.
In Malaysia..what can i say lah, no compare third world with first world mentality.

  12. Agree in Singapore they have bins provided by RA, that does not mean we have to blame on our RA for not providing bins. People can use their common sense, burn in your house compound, burn outside your house compound, just use a zinc sheet or a metal bin.
I am ok for people practicing their religion, as long as people are ok with others practicing their own religion, ie burning things and stuff like that. What I am not ok with is people living the way they use to live in their kampungs.
Kinda sad, Puteri 11 is so modern, but we have got people with this kinda mentality staying, whats next people will start having their own chickens and pigs in their houses?

  13. in Singapore, RA refers to the "RA" from the government.
If P11 folks can bring pets to the public toilet park, what do you expect for incense burning at the park. After all its already a public toilet

  14. We should just stop the complaining and comparing.
My fellow Buddhist brethren, please don't siasui me and my religion.
    Think before your actions.

  15. Some people just dont get it, we are not here to criticize religion, we live in Malaysia and we have to respect other people's religion. What we are saying is practice it with compassion and understanding towards other people, that is all.
If anyone has done that in this blog and seem that we are criticizing, I apologize for these people, even myself.
But be tolerant and think of others, we Malaysians are sometimes so self centered, we think everything is about ourselves, never think about our neighbours feelings.

  16. I fully agree with Axl's views. If everyone can think like him, our world will be a much better place to live. In Singapore, the Government steps in and enforce these values and maybe that is the only way to make it work for Malaysians too. Good laws and fine, fine, fine until you never forget and it becomes a habit.

  17. How to educate our people to live in harmony and respect for one another, be civic minded and do not create problems for our neighbours. It is common sense to some but not to others.

  18. I think it is to do with family behaviours and upbringing. To these people, they think it is normal to bring dogs to shit and burn incense in public places. Is there a law against this?

    ReplyDelete
  19. there are laws, but lack of enforcement

  20. Heard the RA plan to organise gotong royong to clean up and beautify the playground. Wonder how many residents will come forward to participate? Maybe those who frequent the playground will but the rest will just stay away!

  22. Talking about enforcement, Malaysian police very hard working on Bandar Puteri roads. I think they do good jobs.
