Our road is open for use (exit/entry) during the day time but the 2 lanes will then be closed from 6 pm onwards for the contractor to carry out the installation of the barrier gates. This is only for tomorrow 6th Dec.
However, on the 7th (Wednesday) the work resume from 9am. Therefore all exit is through Puteri 12 and entry from p11 for the rest of the week.

1 BIG Question: Has the EGM got the CONSENSUS from the 11 residents to proceed ahead with this BARRIER setup ? whats the actual vote counts achieved ?

ReplyDeletewithout approval, then this is ILLEGAL construction which can incur a MPSJ demolition; btw I have even seen and been approached by the RA chairlady herself to collect funds, is this even LEGAL at all ? w/o EGM CONSENSUS ? without reaching an agreement to move forward, she collecting funds and parallelly setting up the barrier system. I cant but feel threatened, are we being forced to accept this ? The fee, quotations and vendor appointed all but nothing is transparent !!

First of all I must say the RA has done a great job over the year. Having say that the approach for this barrier setup and appointment of the vendor was not transparent. Of course, I know it was done with the good intention but the process must be followed.
ReplyDeleteI was in the EGM meeting that day and a lot members are questions were not answer E.g. Cost, How many suppliers submitted the quotation and the process of choosing it.
I am not trying create problem but a lot members need clarity in this regard. I hope the RA able to provide better explanation.

2.采购过程必须透明化.
除了以上的问题,大多数的出席者都赞成落实这个自动道闸及CCTV系统. 至于楼上那位提议要再次征求居民肯首的朋友, 我认为没必要重复那费时又费力的工作了.
依我看来，该系统需要尽快落实. 农历新年即将到来，大多数房子会在那期间摆空城计. 老实说我对目前的保安人员并没有十足的信心，但我相信有了这自动道闸及CCTV系统后，肯定对我们花园的保安起了一定的作用.
我认为这一届的居协委员是同过大多数居民遴选出来的，我们应该给予他们的充分的信任, 让他们全权实施这系统。至于在采购过程必须透明化的问题, 我相信居民协会将会在年底把帐目呈上給居民审计，如果审计结果发现有欺诈行为，那么我们可以向警方投报及更换目前的居协委员班底。

No consensus means illegal even with good intentions.. Dun believe? Try go rob a bank and tell the police it's meant for the poor with good intentions...this is clearly not the way!! The law of the land is to follow constitution and this case involves money hence the more it should be done and process and procedures followed !! Otherwise it's just as good as having a dictator styled chairman now saying 200 nxt round 2000 !!

ReplyDeleteThe EGM had been carried out and most of the resident who attended the meeting agreed to install the barrier gate system. Except a few residents who were questioning about the procurement process.
RA has offered to those who has questions to join the team to discover more but just a few are interested.
HCP, why don't you offer yourself to join the RA team to find out more things for us?Complaining at the back is just a coward approach.
If you think most of the resident don't have the trust to the RA, then I suggest you to come out from your house and get the signature from those who are against the barrier gate set up. If more than half of the residents are against the idea then I agree the whole project should be abandoned.

When EGM is being called for barrier system, this needs a conclusion ..either YES / NO
if you are so sure a lot of ppl are OK with this...SHOW us the consensus achieved in EGM and distribute to every house to avoid discrepancy and disputes.
In this case, IF there is an consensus achieved why is the chairman going house to house ?? try to show sincerity and dilligent in doing commmunity service ???
-COME ON...this is pure money making in progress !!! and using chairman identity to influence the fence sitters unknowingly to sign up and pay up....
eventually its a "perfect storm" in the making...pitting those who have paid up VS those who question and not yet paid...

To me, there is no consensus in the EGM meeting. Bec the residents questions were no answered e.g the request to send the quotations to all and some technical questions. I know few residents were asked to join the RA but we yet to hear their feedback.
ReplyDeleteI understand the effort and cost to arrange for another EGM but this seem to be the only best option to take this forward. Otherwise, I am afraid the RA might have difficulties collecting fund.
Of course, I agree the need of auto gate and CCTV but was not transparent is the process of choosing the vendor.

what will happen when the gate is up and residents have not paid up due to the willful act of RA ? does that mean they cannot go home at all ? this RA needs to be STOPPED !!

ReplyDeleteTo resident that posted in Mandarin, I do agree it was us who appointed the current RA BUT we DID NOT EMPOWER them decide on our behalf.
We appreciate RA effort in trying to promote better environment for the neighbourhood. But as the resident in Puteri 11, we have every single right to know the vote count & appointment of contractor to ensure that every single cent spent from the RA account is well spent!
All this fuss over a small little residence association huh? I admire the fact that you guys are passionate about reserving your rights and abiding to the law, but i think that you guys are aiming slightly too low.

If we were to look at the bigger picture, it is a real pity that you've put so much effort, energy and brain power in rectifying such a small issue, a boom gate. In my humblest opinion, you guys would do wonderfully if you were to focus on Malaysian politics, now this is a more gratifying and meaningful cause.
Think about it this way...taxes...where do they go??? Roads??? Hospital??? EDUCATION??? At least you know the money you pay to the RA goes SOMEWHERE...
So you focus should be on politics as a whole because i believe that we as malaysians deserve more from our government, not the RA.
