MPSJ Hotline - 03-56376545
Residents are encourage to call up MPSJ Hotline to make complaints. MPSJ will ask for your particulars and they will send you an acknowledgement of your complaint. You can then follow up with them if no action is being taken. MPSJ will also send you a reply if actions had been taken.
Our Bandar Puteri 11 residents main concern is with the dangerous car parking situation on the road, Jalan Puteri 11/1, outside the Puteri Bayu Apartment. Cars are parked on both sides of the slope road making it very narrow for other vehicles to pass through. The road is also winding with certain section being a danger blind spot.
Many complaints have been made to MPSJ on this parking issue in the past one year. MPSJ then issued illegal parking summons to these traffic offenders but the problem remain unresolved. MPSJ recently told us that they will study the problem again but we want them to act fast before accidents happened.
We encourage our residents to call up the MPSJ Hotline 03-56376545 to complain about this dangerous parking situation. The more complaints they received, the faster they will have to respond.

Conman Gardener
Please be warned of this thirty something year old guy by the name of Segar who rides a motorbike offering to plant grass and trees in your house.
He will offer to plant good quality carpet grass for you first and you only have to pay him after the job is done.
After you have paid him for the grass he will ask if you want to buy some Christmas trees. He will now collect the money from you first and disappear.
You will discover after some weeks that the grass you get is not the type of quality carpet grass he claimed to sell you.

Nst: Horseback patrol to curb crime
http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/2horses/Article/
Supt Abdul Razak Elyas
Residents feel safer with mounted police on patrol around Bandar Puteri Puchong. (Inset) Supt Abdul Razak Elyas says the umbrella concept has helped reduce crime.
PUCHONG: In a bid to reduce crime in Bandar Puteri Puchong, mounted police have been deployed in the area.
This move is to strengthen the police presence here, and follows the recently launched "umbrella" concept, whereby police personnel are placed under parasols in main areas of the township.
Residents and visitors here would have come across the policemen on horses doing their rounds in the neighbourhood over the past week.
Their presence, until the end of the month, said IPD Serdang OCPD, Supt Abdul Razak Elyas, would serve as a deterrent in the area marked as a hot spot for crime.
"The mounted police will be here for some time as I believe a longer time spent here can help bring the crime rate down," he said when met at a morning taichi session, organised by the residents association of Bandar Puteri 12.
Although, only four horses go on their rounds here between 11am to 3pm, Razak said up to nine horses could be deployed at any time as and when there was a need.
"It will all depend on the crime pattern of the day.
"If we see a rise in crime reports, all nine horses will go on their rounds," said Razak adding that the police have also deployed helicopters in the area.
"Our helicopter unit is our Eye in the Sky and its presence, too, helps to monitor the situation here," he added.
He also said that the use of mounted police was also part of the community policing strategy, which complements the conventional policing where policemen carry out their patrols on cars or motorcycles.
"This community policing also helps build rapport with the people. You see residents walking up to these policemen and their horses. It's also a good opportunity to get the younger generation, especially the children, to approach the police," he said, pointing to a group of excited children who had gathered around the horses. He also encouraged residents in the area to approach the mounted policemen should they have any information on criminal activities here.
Elaborating on the umbrella concept, Razak said, the police personnel who include those patrolling in cars and motorcycles, as well as plainclothes policemen, detectives and narcotics officers, use the parasol as their converging point.
Five of such "umbrella" police bases have been set-up in Bandar Puteri Puchong.
"Three policemen -- one who is stationed under the parasol and two on foot patrol -- work in shifts between 8am to 8pm everyday. I'm happy to say that since its launch, no snatch thefts have been reported," said Razak.
He also said the police was aware of the theory of displacement in which criminal activities move elsewhere when prevention measures are put into place.
"Whether geographical or temporal (change in time for criminal activities) we can also change our surveillance locations and time," he said, adding that the police would not hesitate to go where criminal activities are rampant.
The cases reported in the area include snatch thefts, vehicle break-ins and car thefts.
The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) has also erected guard rails measuring up to 1.5m along the busy main roads in Bandar Puteri commercial areas, similar to the guard rails used in SS15, Subang Jaya, to deter snatch thefts. According to Bandar Puteri 12 Residents Association (RA12) chairman, Betty Yap, the tai-chi session with Razak and his men was held to foster closer ties between the residents and the police.
"The session has allowed for interaction between the residents and the police as issues were discussed and views exchanged," she said.
She also urged the police to look into the menace caused by youngsters along the road leading up to Bandar Puteri 12, which is often used as a spot to hang out to view part of Puchong's and Subang Jaya's skyline at night from the neighbourhood on the hill.
A resident, Khairunnisa Abdul Latep, 33, who almost became a victim of car hijacking in the area recently said she preferred approaching the mounted police or the personnel under the parasols as she had always felt intimidated going to police stations.
She urged everyone to report crime even if it was a near miss, and not only report a crime after it's over as it could save others.
A resident, Sagar Velayuthan, 49, said the presence of the mounted police in the area was much welcomed.
"These mounted policemen come across as more approachable.
"As we take our kids to see the horses, we can also inform the policemen of any suspicious persons or activities that we think should be looked into," he said.
He hoped that the police would carry out more activities such as dialogue sessions with the residents for the benefit of both parties.

Engagement Of Security Guards
Our current RA Committee will retire at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on 23 January 2011. The Notice of Annual General Meeting will be issued to our members 14 days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting. Our members at the Annual General Meeting will then elect a new RA Committee for 2011.
IOI will be terminating their security guards services at Puteri 11 on the 15 January 2011. In view of the above timing situation, our current RA Committee have decided that we will only engage our security guards on a one month probation contract basis commencing on 16 January 2011 and ending on 15 February 2011.
The newly elected RA Committee can then decide if they wish to continue with the current security guards or otherwise. We think that this arrangement is only fair to the newly elected RA Committee.
The security company we will engage, Z Force Security Services & Systems Sdn. Bhd., is agreeable to the one month probation contract. This company is also the one recommended by Mr Khoo, who was previously with our security sub-committee.
The pay rate is RM 3.80 per hour. With 5 guards in the day and another 5 at night working on 24 hour basis, this will amount to about RM 15,000.00 per month inclusive of service tax. The Extraordinary General Meeting held on 30 October 2010 had already approved the payment for this amount each month.

I will be staying at Puteri 11 with my parents. This is my fist time posting in this blog. I decided to post after speaking to Mr. Loke yesterday. It pertaining to the issue of the cheques that I read from here. However, I am not very please with his response as the treasurer of RA. I enquire about the separate cheques payment and he told me he did not know anything about it. He asked me to check with the auditors!!! When pressed more he asked me to check with Mr. Chiam personally!!! I just do not understand. As the treasurer, if you don’t know, who knows? Since when the auditors issue cheques or are they authorize to do so? As paying resident, I just want to know so I can share with my neighbors. They’re asking what’s happening with the security. Mind you, I was the one that convinced them and also my parent in the first place to contribute to engage the security for the benefits of our Taman. I feel I have the responsibility to share info with the aunties and uncles.
When I enquire about the status of our account, his response”…… you expect me to do accounts EVERYDAY?”. Mr. Loke, I NEVER EXPECT YOU TO DO IT EVERYDAY!! Do you think you need to do that? We don’t sell things, we do not have daily transaction. Which accounting person will need to do so?? All I am asking is the status of the account, meaning the updated ones.. i.e. total collection of membership fees (RM15) and monthly collection (either 3 months or 1 month) till today minus off the expenses incur from the moment you started to collect OUR MONEY. THAT’S IT. Is it that difficult to do so? Then he asked me why I never attend the meeting last Sunday. Now this is the problem with communication between the RA and residents. There’s no notice sent to resident, no one inform us. It was only posted in the blog. So, you’re assuming every resident can read and have access to the blog? Or they can read your RA’s mind what’s your next action?
A lot has been going on in this blog. I cant say who is telling the truth. But my post here with the response I quoted all took place yesterday and I never twisted any of the FACTS. I do not mind sharing this with all residents. We have our rights.

Dear Xiao Hui,
I have informed Mr Loke about your posting on our blogspot.
Meanwhile, allow me to explain the two separate cheques issued to the supplier. I assigned Mr Khoo, who was with our security sub-committee, to source for gate tags and car stickers. I did not tell him to get the quotation approved first before placing the order. I later found out that the car sticker price is high. I requested Mr Khoo to negotiate with the supplier which he did and got a small discount. I take full responsibility for the mistake and decided that I shall issue my personal cheque to the supplier for the amount that I found still overcharged which is about RM 720.00.
The November 2010 accounts are already posted on the website. Please look for it. I agree that our existing communication channel is weak and need a lot more improvements.
Please contact me should you want further clarifications.

The current RA Committee will retire at the forthcoming AGM. Our members at the AGM will elect a new RA Committee for 2011.
There is a misconception by some members who think that the current RA Committee are interested to serve for another year.
I know that the current RA Committee are prepared to resign voluntarily at anytime. But there must already be a new team endorsed by the members ready to take over.
We had learned from the bitter experience of Puteri 12. When their RA Committee voluntarily resigned there was nobody willing to come forward.
The current RA Committee is doing their final lap of duties and we just want to complete it and hand over to the next RA Committee.
I will not be standing for re-election at the forthcoming AGM. I think it is a good practice that the Chairman's post be rotated every year.
My intention had been made known to our current RA Committee sometime ago.

This blog do not delete user comments. We do not know why the comments are missing. As explained before, the problem is most likely due to server or technical errors at the blogspot server. If you are IT expert, please help us.

- How can you be so sure it is this PC Ng that has made the criticism against the old committee members?
- Can you justify your certainty that this PC Ng has ganged up with some residents to go against the old committee members? Any proof to back up?
- How do you come to know that this PC Ng was bullying the chairman and tried to grab the so-called POWER from the existing RA? What is his purpose of doing so? If, it is true DO YOU AND CAN YOU PROVIDE THE EVIDENCE PLEASE.
- Maybe I am wrong, by the way you expressed your views and your emotions, and I felt that you should be one of a committee member in the existing RA? If Yes, may I asked you to ask yourself conscientiously IE. “HAVE YOU REALLY CONTRIBUTED DEDICATELY, OPENLY, TRULY BEFORE AND AFTER THE PROTEST OF THE CONDO?” (This is without prejudices ok)
- Do you really think THE POWER of the RA is so important, so great until PC Ng wanted to grab it? You really make it so POLITICAL.
- I went back to all the comments (criticisms) but I find nobody said that old committee members are UNCONCERNED. What was pointed out was that the committee members have been inactive. Don’t you think you have exaggerated a bit?
- You are absolutely right and I do agreed with you of the old RA contributions in the protest of the condo, BUT, wasn’t that strong drive and determination of yours are based literally on “SELF INTEREST” only and RA was not formed initially is to serve the whole of Puteri 11 community?
- What made you think that PC Ng and his so called GANG will KACHAU, FORCING RESIDENTS TO PAY THEIR SECURITY FEES OR EVEN WILL HARRASS AND BULLY RESIDENTS TO JOIN HIS ACTIVITIES? Don’t you think you’ve made us feel like we are all Brainless Puppet here and how weak are we!
- Where was PC Ng when you were busy for the condo issue? I can’t answer you as I cannot speak for him because I don’t know? BUT I THINK I SAW HIM IN THE PICTURE TAKEN WITH GOBIN SINGH IN THE BLOG BEFORE. Gobin Singh was here to check the problems of having the condo, if I am not wrong about this.
- Also to what I also remembered was RA INVITED ONLY THE RESIDENTS OF ALL CORNER UNIT (NAIDA 2 AND OLIVIA) ON THE DAY OUR RA AND IOI TO PRESENT THE REPORT TO MPSJ. Did any other residents in Puteri 11 was invited or informed of this? I was not!!!!
- To me, I think PC Ng is quite a fine chap, considerably hardworking and seem to be quite dedicated too. He volunteered himself as a Road Rep. to collect the security fees for both Puteri 11/16 and 11/17, at the 1st EGM we have had. From what I heard, Mahendra who is a Secretary, does volunteered for the same task but has hardly collected from nobody on his street except from Himself…Even some of the 11/11 residents whispered behind his back.
SO how can you deemed this PC Ng a nuisance?
- Why PC Ng is hurrying for the re-election? Ng, I think you should voice up your intention and be heard and viewed by residents, don’t you think so?
- Least but not last, you seem to be very persistent and certain that the SO CALLED GANG is such malicious, dangerous and sadistic, WHY are you so sure about them? Do you know them too? So who are they?

Under our Association's Rules and Regulations, our RA must send out the Notice of AGM to our members 14 days in advance of the date of the AGM.
The Notice must also be accompanied with the 2010 audited accounts. Our financial year is from 1st January to 31st December.
RA will request the bank statement for our bank account with Public Bank earliest on Monday, 3 January 2011.
Our auditor will have to audit our cash book figures against the figures shown in the December month bank statement.
Due to the above reasons, the earliest possible date to hold our next AGM will be Sunday 23 January 2011.
The Notice of AGM must then be sent out not later than 9 January 2011 to meet the 14 day period requirement.
Our AGM will be invalid if we do not follow the above regulations.
A copy of the Association's Rules and Regulations can be obtained from me or our Hon. Secretary, Mr Mahendra - h/p no. 012-2029668.
I trust the above explanations is clear and should there be any question, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Chiam - h/p no. 016-2323480

Comments from RA
Our blog has been quite busy these past few days. I hope this is a positive sign that more of our members are concern about our RA and our community.
Our RA welcome your criticisms, comments and suggestions and we will try to reply to all as soon as possible. There is a lesson to learn from everyone.
Every of our members will have a view on an issue and it is fine and only natural if we do disagree. RA shall act according to the wishes of the majority.
Lets not get too personal and emotional that we create ill feelings with one another. Everyone here want to live together in harmony as good neighbours.
I also think that it is good, we put our names and contact telephone numbers here, so we can get in touch to know and understand each other better.
Problems often started because of miscommunication and misunderstandings and this is rather unfortunate and unnecessary.
Lets be friendly and stay united as one happy community in our Bandar Puteri 11.
Wishing all our members a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
