Dear Fellow Members of our RA.
There is a request from a group of our members to hold our next RA's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in December 2010 or in the first week of January 2011.
Under our Association's Rules and Regulations, our RA must send out the Notice of AGM to our members 14 days in advance of the date of the AGM.
The Notice must also be accompanied with the 2010 audited accounts. Our financial year is from 1st January to 31st December.
RA will request the bank statement for our bank account with Public Bank earliest on Monday, 3 January 2011.
Our auditor will have to audit our cash book figures against the figures shown in the December month bank statement.
Due to the above reasons, the earliest possible date to hold our next AGM will be Sunday 23 January 2011.
The Notice of AGM must then be sent out not later than 9 January 2011 to meet the 14 day period requirement.
Our AGM will be invalid if we do not follow the above regulations.
A copy of the Association's Rules and Regulations can be obtained from me or our Hon. Secretary, Mr Mahendra - h/p no. 012-2029668.

ReplyDeleteCare to explore with your team to allow new RA to appoint security after election. I believe all these while, all the DING DONG matches among you guys to have early election to appoint new RA is to ensure that the new team APPOINTS the security company (sec co) as per their agreement and approved guidelines endorsed by majority of residence. The main issue here is CONTROL. For example, YOU, representing current team signed contract with sec co with your guidelines and conditions. 2 weeks after, Old RA hand over to new team after election. New team finds that guidelines and terms do not fulfill criteria. Request Sec co to change. Sec co cannot comply to new criteria coz agreement made with old RA. HOW? Not to mentioned issues like funds, expenses claims by current RA, etc. Messy isn't it?
So, do consider and explore the option to let new RA appoint sec co after election. I do not see any issue with not having any security services for period of 2 to 3 weeks after IOI handover. Their security is so 'loose' anyway. All cars can come in. That’s my personal opinion and that do not represent every residents here.
I believe by doing so, it’s a win win situation for everyone. You get to fulfill your constitution’s requirement, they get to appoint the sec co. Smoother change of guards. Think it’s fair. Unless you wanted to win more. BTW, please do post this up and do get opinions from residence. Please don’t delete or amend my post PLEASE. I saved my copies so I can do this all day.

ReplyDeleteMy personal opinion is that we can work with a new group of people or a new RA Committee re the security.
There is a voting process. So finally residence decide. If there is a group please approach me or us.

Really dissappointed to look at the situation getting from bad to worst. Where are we heading towards and the way you guys addressing all these conflicts are so unhealthy. It only reflect your ability in solving problems and get things done. You guys seem to be more interested in fighting each other rather than current issues on improving security system.
ReplyDeleteHope both parties can comes to a common understanding and spend time to address what are the next course of action in setting up our puteri 11 security. Why do you need to wait for next AGM ? Can we put our effort together to look into what to do next on security.
Forget about gain creditability, whether to you or the current RA committees. Working together as a team is the key. We are still new and lots of things to be done. Not as simple as engaging security guards only. The security guards will not help much if we do not set up propoer rules for them to follow as well as create awareness to all residence of puteri 11 to extend their support. It will takes months to settle down on the security policies and need lots of education to them.
Someone talks about new RA team to replace the old RA team during the upcoming AGM. You keep on emphasize on replacing the current RA team and can I ask you “ How sure are you that the new team is better than the existing team” I guess nobody can tell, therefore, I will appreciate if you guys stop hammering each other. If you feel the current RA team is weak, then you should support them as nobody is perfect. Everyone has their strength and weakness. Of course, when the time comes for RA election, the residence shall votes for the better team.
Hope we can establish a healthy and harmony good neighbourhood. Soooooo start to learn to respect each other.

ReplyDeleteWell said and totally agree with you. That is exactly what needed to be done. Yes, its not about replacing old ones with new ones. Its all about teamwork. Unfortunately, there's none in the existing RA. If you only knew how the current RA's "TOP' fellas handled and manages current issues, I guarantee you that you will disagree with your own statement of "common understanding and putting effort together". Sad to say this doesn't work with the current Chairman. He knows this himself, VERY WELL. He ONLY do things "HIS OWN WAY". Pls dont be fooled by his "Sincere, Kind words" in this blog. And, the current RA’s members know that too well, not those on his side off course. Anyway, it’s the BLOG. No one knows who’s telling the truth and who is not.

ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone is fighting with the RA committee. That is how I look at it.
Don't you think that residents were and are reacting is because their queries were completely been ignored by the RA committee. No reply on any of the question posed by residents.
I don't think it is appropriate for the RA to practise the POWER OF SILENCE. Because this will caused more stipulation to the situation.
It is a question of faith, don't you agree?
How can they represent us if they keep running and hiding away. If what I said here is too harsh on you RA, my sincere apology. I have nothing against anybody in the RA, as I don't even know who are they? I just speak out my mind.
I do appreciate their hard work but it is true that the only time they were very active was for the protest of the condo. For this they do earn their credibility. But after that, were they?.
I only remember that I signed up my membership with a lady volunteer after we received the security guard termination from IOI. No RA member have ever approached me. Did they come to you?
We are still new and lots of things to be done, I am totally with you in this.
I don't think residents regard the RA weak but inactive.
Nobody is sure, including myself, if the new group of committee members are better than the existing one, nobody can tell, right? Neither do I want to be objective nor judgemental on any of them. Let's wait till there is really a new appointed RA committee, only then we can compare them at a later stage. What is your say?

ReplyDeleteYou have given a fair comment and I just need to briefly add to it. I did reply to many of the comments on blog but not all. I have a problem with my streamyx this past week. We had a members meeting on 30 October and I answered all the questions raised. We had 4 weekends RA meet Residents sessions in November and will have one this coming Sunday. I hope you can make it. Bring all your questions with you. You have my tel. no. and if there is something you need to know urgently please call me. We are volunteers and if you can help us to help you that would make our tasks lighter.

I have no objection towards AGM election for new team. Only sad to see words of war among them and relected issues are been handled very personally. Ya... really looking forward to see how the new RA team. Whether it is better or worst, I hope they will learn how to improve from voice of residence. Anyway, look at their passion and aggressive response....Mmmmm i guess they will do what they suppose to do.
If you go through all the comments on the blog carefully, you will realise that it is a one way attack against the RA.

ReplyDeleteI do not see it so that this is a "one way attack' as you mentioned. Yes, you did replied them, politely, as you said. What i've noticed, unfortunately, you only replied Q's or comments that favours you or the RA. You never seems to answer most of the relevant questions or suggestions posted. Unfair dont you think so? Cant blame users if they keep asking or "Attack" since no reply or clarification from you or RA. And mind you, i did go through the blog carefully, very carefully.

I encounter streamyx internet problem this past one week and did not manage to reply to some of the questions raised.
