Notice From Puteri 12 RA
The entire present RA Committee shall resign on 14th November 2010. The security guard services at Puteri 12 will cease after 15th November 2010. An EGM will be held on 14th November 2010 at Vista Playground at 6:30 p.m. to elect a new Committee. All members and non members are welcome to attend the meeting. The monthly security payments shall be suspended with immediate effect.

I will attend the meeting. I think they will get a new Committee elected to continue the security services. Present Committee encounter too many problems with both paying and non-paying residents.

Madam Betty, we appreciate your good work for the residents of puteri 12 but we heard from many people that you have convinced the other committee members to resign together with you and terminate the security guards, moreover close shop because the association will not be able to sustain financially and to pay the security fees next year, which we found out to be untrue and misleading.
ReplyDeleteWe also heard from many people that you have made a wrong forecasted accounts which shows a shortcoming in funds for next year. As such, please have the financial accounts, as well as the forecasts for the next year ready for the coming EGM and we are expecting to receive those reports by next week and one week before the EMG on 14th this month.
If we still have funds to sustain, can you please explain in this websites, why are you terminating the security services and why are you insisting to close the association?
Betty is a lousy leader, she should resigned. We will only call for her resignation during the EGM. We have lost confidence in her.
ReplyDeleteWhere got chairperson demoralized the committee and ask them to resign when the going gets tough, as well as want to close the association without solid grounds?
So far more than 50% people in puteri 12 is paying for the security, the collections is good and the association got ample funds in the bank , so why terminate the security and close the association? Sure got something wrong with the chairwoman. So members please choose a better leader!
There is no problem lah with the paying and none paying members. Even there could be some problems, they are very common and every association faces the same issues but other associations know how to manage them. The problem is with the Chairwoman who don’t know lah, she got her personal agenda and she make small issues BIG, like calling this EGM for groundless reasons. I only can laugh at her, ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteAt yesterday's EGM, the Committee agreed to stay on unti the AGM, except the Secretary who resigned. The security guard services will continue as before.

Aftermath of Puteri 12 EGM: How Betty and team manage to play their resignation the wrong way with “all bark and no bite”
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed an unforgettable moreover a regrettable Sunday for those who turned up for the Puteri 12 EGM, which was called by the principle committee members to move various votes.
To summarize my views about the meeting - I could have put my weekend time to better use. Anyhow, I am writing this for those members who were unable to attend the EGM and for people who did not understand the EGM. So, please help by distributing this news to all your fellow residents.
Before we go any further, I would like to state that the general meeting was indeed unprofessionally held and managed; there were uncontrolled harmony among the residents, in which the Chair lost control and a complete waste of everybody’s time and costs. (Sorry to say this, but the truth have to surface somewhere)
When I reached the meeting, the financial accounts were placed on a white board and the Chair commenced the meeting with 7/8 of the principle committee members present.
It started to rain in the evening, anyhow after the rain there were about 100+ people who turned-up for the EGM. There was a mixture of members and none-members, but the actual number of members to form a quorum necessary to conduct the business of the RA was not announced by the Chair and this had raised doubts if there were in fact sufficient majority of members to hold the EGM.
Anyhow, the duty is always on the Chair to declare the absence of a quorum if she notices a quorum is no longer present or the attendance does not present a quorum before taking any vote or stating the question of any new motion, but this was not done proper and was ignored by the Chair after people started to leave, probably because it begun to rain again or they just realized that the EGM was just only “all bark and no bite” and a complete waste of time.
Anyhow when a member noticed the apparent absence of a quorum made a point of order, nothing was done by the Chair to look into the situation, and she continued the meeting and ignored the member, which I personally feel is prohibited in law and that the Chair was inconsiderate to other members’ votes.
I have noticed that the Chair commenced the meeting without the Secretary (knowing the Secretary, he is always punctual and he is always the first to be seen in any meetings).
