  1. RA collected RM 150.00 x 41 residents yesterday after the EGM. Money to be banked into RA's bank account with Public Bank, Bandar Puteri.

A good start! The rest of the residents are encouraged to pay the fees early.

  2. MIND-SET
Attended the Puteri 11 community meeting on 31st.Oct,10 and realize that the there are so many good people around.May be they are coming from the same world, instead of from other planet.
A built in hilarious character lady stated that mind set is the most important factor.Once has to think that the money paid for the guarding services is for oneself and is not for others and worth paying. Then, even the bland-storming,instigating factor comes in,it will never over ride the mind-set.Simple saying and yet the meaning is deep and profound. She earns her respect.
The Chairman also said, the Road Representative can provide a litter more effort to persuade or explain to neightbourhood ,family safety is the up most important and “regrets” is always too late.
No matter, the house is your own property or rented and may be,it is yours when time is right. What once know is,the family is staying in the house and the crooks has no mercy on everybody, enen though once is rented tenants.
Again MIND-SET AND REGRETS IS TOO LATE,is the key words to understand and absorb, then,I believe by paying for the guarding services is not the main problem.
Remember, take one day at a time.Once, today is a safe day for the family members;then the complains of guards are not good etc.is not the excuse any more.
Good day today is the starting point that we can have another good day tomorrow.
    To all the Good People,thanks.

  3. We should not argue and get angry with our neighbours who don't pay. We want to remain as friends with them. What we can do is to encourage and win them over with our soft friendly persuasion. Eventually, most of them will contribute their share. If we go head on, we may lose our friends forever.

  4. Refer to Nov 1, 11.46am.

I wish to thank you for your very supportive and encouraging phrase. I just hoped that there be more understanding people like you in Puteri 11 that can and is very contributive in helping the RA in achieving the goal and making Puteri 11 a better and safer living enviroment to our communities. Once again thank you very much for giving me such a good appraisal, I do highly appreciate that and do feel worthy at the same time.

I hope you will be attending the meeting more frequently and to provide us good suggestion. We all just need to walk all path hand in hand in all circumstances and in all direction for a better Today and Tomorrow. Importantly Love thy neighbour.

God bless you and everybody in Puteri 11.

  5. We had a real bad experience when our car was
robbed at 'parang-point' in the early morning at our old place.

It was at 530am when my hubby was about to ferry the kids to school, a car drove up in front of our house and then two robbers dash in to the car porch with parang and grabbed the car keys and speed off. It happened in just a split of a second.

My aged old mother witnessed the whole episode, and until today, after a long 4 years, she's still very much traumatized by that scenario.

I cannot imagine what if the robbers slashed down the parang, or if my kids are in the car, or if they rampaged through the house..

I sincerely urge all puteri 11 residents to come forward to support our RA, to create a safe and friendly living environment and community .

It is always not until and unless you had a nightmare that you will start to appreciate and value the life of your loved ones...

Dear all, please do not take a chance and it is always too late to regrets!

I do not say that RM50 is a small amount, but if it can give us a peaceful mind and a safe place, why hesitate?

A big big thank you to RAs for the time, efforts and selfless contribution in making Puteri 11 our safe homes! Dear all, please be united and cooperative !! Safe guard our homes and our love ones...

I like what Mr Kuan said, once you committed to pay for the securities, you shall pay all the way... the rest of the things can be ironed out!

Appreciating all the RAs !! Cheers...

    God bless,

  6. Dear Dragonfly,

I think I know who you are and I was once your neighbour and our path crossed again here. Am I am really happy that we have so many kind and cooperative neighbour here in P11. My personal experience as RR is pleasing. I started yesterday night after dinner, visited 5 families, and collected from all 5 of them. They have no hesitation in giving their full support and have faith in the RA's drive for a safe environment.
I sincerely hope that we can make P11 the other P8; with the understanding and care for the community, I trust we are heading towards that!

Cheers and have a nice day!
    RC.

  7. I dare not imagine P11 without guards. More Bayu apartment cars will park outside above the guardhouse. Love birds drive up here for romantic night scene. Strangers and bad hats roam about freely. The place will be dirty with rubbish everywhere. Facilities will be vandalised and out of order. Our children will not be safe at the playground. We will have many sleepless nights guarding our property. Our house value will depreciate. We may be forced to relocate.

Don't let this happen to us. Lets unite on this. Good night and sweet dreams.

  8. Suggestion to RA:
    8 guards per 24 hours
4 on day shift and 4 on night shift
2 to stay at the guard house near Bayu Puteri and the other 2 at the entry point between Puteri 12 and Puteri 11.
One of the two guards (from each guard house) takes turn to patrol every hour, with predefined route and a few reporting points on each street.
Possibly the guard nearer to Bayu Puteri patrol entire Primrose and half of Olivia while the guard nearer to entry point between P12 and P11 patrol entire Nadia2 and another half of Olivia.

    Costing:
Approx RM4 per hour per guard x 12 hours shift = Approx RM50 per day per guard
RM50 per day per guard x 30 days = RM1,500 per month per guard
RM1,500 per month per guard x 8 guards = RM12,000 per month total

We may save RM3,000 per month if we hire 8 guards instead of 10 and the extra money could be allocated to upgrade the guard house, boom gate, install surveillance cameras, make up car sticker and identification plate to be placed in front of houses for those who paid the security fees, organise activities and etc.

  9. Thank you for your suggestions. We will see how much we collect for December 2010. Hope we get 300 residents pay up to have the RM 15,000. We will need few months to build up the funds to afford the upgrading and installation works. We can discuss more at the meeting this Sunday, 5:30 pm.

  10. Great to hear so many positive encounters and replies. Good start indeed to every contributing residents and potential contributor as well.... Yes, I believe doing the right thing one step at a time will be the main focus now. Do not misrepresent to overdeliver what you can do, otherwise, residents will have high expectations.

One main issue that i like to raise here is that once we get the security project rolling, would like to suggest that we, ALL Puteri 11 residents together with RA MUST RALLY HARD and press MPSJ and IOI to provide immediate solution to the bayu puteri side carpark issue. This is one commitment we can prove to non paying residents that RA is committed to serve the residents and with all our support, i believe we CAN DO IT. WE MUST DO IT!!! Sometimes, things is not all about money.... This is our neighborhood and everyone of us have responsibility and role to play to make it a better, healthier and most importantly SAFER place for our families.... Hope RA can support this exercise...

BTW, Alice, you are doing a wonderful job...

  11. On Monday, I brought Cik Sharifah, PA to MPSJ's Councillor Mr Tan Jo Hann, to Puteri 11 and explained clearly to her the car park issue and asked for additional car parks to be built. She assured me that she will personally attend to this matter with MPSJ.

I also requested for additional road humps along Jalan 11/1A and 11/1, installation of lights at pergolas and reflexology walk at playground, replacing the stolen drain covers and removing the illegal advertisements.

  13. Kuan,

First foremost I want to thank you for your compliments that I deemed as a big encouragement to me and the rests of the RR.

Second I agreed very much with you that all the Puteri 11 residents MUST be contributive and supportive to RA. With this I strongly believe WE ALL can reach the goal of having a smooth running and operation which enables everybody to live a healthy, safer and of course a better living enviroment.

Third, I do request residents not to have high hope within a period of 1 year (at least) as everyone need to understand that the RA or the volunteers are inexperienced and of course having residents to attend regular meeting to voice their opinions, comment or complaints are rather important for RA to necessitate improvement in both operation and management.

Lastly, I wish to thank Puteri 11 Residents being very supportive and postive in this matter. I am very happy and grateful at the same. No doubt Kuan you are one of a great guy around and I feel honoured to have you as a neighbour and a friend.

    Cheers
    Alice

  16. Was informed by the guards at Puteri 12 that Puteri 11 folks can no longer access Puteri 11 through Puteri 12. The guards also informed that they will no longer open the gates for Puteri 11 folks... Can someone verify if this is true? Thks

    ReplyDelete
  17. i was informed by the guard too. i am not sure this is true or not. They told me this is Betty's (Chair wormen) decision.
i wonder why this hanppened. Perhaps it might be the security company playing around with the chair person due to their service terminate soon!

  18. I encountered the same advice from the Puteri 12 guards that all Puteri 11 residents are not allowed to use their entrance from tomorrow onwards. Apparently this is an instruction given by RA Chairwoman Ms Betty.

According to the guards, 4 of the Puteri 11 people attacked their counterparts this afternoon at the back entrance between P11 and P12.

Can someone please let us know what has happened?

    Thank you.

    Abbie

  19. Just spoke with Betty. It was their security guards own decision to stop because of the guards fighting! Betty is now having a meeting with her Committee. I will be calling her in an hour to know more of the facts. She understands that the guards got no right to do this nonsense. Quite messy things over there. Call me if you want to know what I hear from Betty in an hour.

  23. Dear Abbie,

Yes it is important to have a strong RA to represent and speak up for the residents on issues affecting our community's interest.

With good support from the residents, we can build a strong RA for the benefits of the residents.

  24. Hello Chiam, Alice & RA members,
Many thanks from the bottom of our hearts for your leadership and dedication to making our place a better place to live in.

Before we turn into 2011, may I please suggest we review the inflows and outflows of the funds collected thus far and have it signed off by a 3rd party (Puteri 11 resident who is knowledgable in auditing) and begin 2011 on a new slate? A simple excel sheet posted here would be a good starting point.

    Thanks & kind regards,
    Volatile

  25. Thanks Volatile for your comment.

Before I reply you in details, may I know your meaning of 'thus far' and 'third party auditor'.

Our accounts are prepared annualy ending on 31 December each year and is to be audited and presented to members at the AGM for approval as required by ROS.

At the first AGM held on 25 April 2010, the members had alreday elected two auditors.

I am all for full transparency and accountability when dealing with funds from our members. And I am prepared to do more than what is required by law in this respect.

You should call me so we can discuss and determine the standards we want to set for this and I will then brief the RA Committee.

  28. Thanks Alice for your reply and we wish you all the best.

Happy Holidays Mr Chiam and thank you for your response. Please allow me to clarify. A sum of RM15 and a further RM150 were collected recently from the residents by hard working volunteers like Alice for the purposes we already know of.

What we simpley seek is some sort of documentation that these inflows have been accounted for. For outflows, I'm not sure if there are any until today as we speak.

Thank you for clarifying the we already have appointed 2 auditors and 1 treasurer. Fair enough, we would allow these individuals to serve their functions and let the accounts be publicly viewed at the appropriate time soon.

I do not seek any specific accounting standards but merely transparency beyond a reasonable doubt when it comes to public funds. I trust these funds in the hands of these individuals under your able leadership.

Looking forward to viewing those accounts soon.
    Thanks & kind regards,
    Augustin
