About 100 Puteri 11 residents were present at the meeting. They are concern about the security situation in our neighbourhood. They discussed, gave some suggestions and showed their support to the RA in handling the matter. The RA will hold similar meetings over the next few Saturdays, same time 5:00 p.m. and same place Playground for those who were unable to attend yesterday. The points discussed have been noted, will be examined and appropriately acted upon.

i would suggest that once we setup the security (and provided have some extra funds), CCTV to be placed at guard house and using GSM/3G technology to be made open and viewable to all residents in Puteri 11.
ReplyDeleteTo avoid car setaling etc, all resident cars coming into area should have a piece of card carried/given by security. When going out the guard should collect them, if there is no card, they should start questioning the driver etc. This is a common practice in Jakarta guarded housing estates. Perhaps we can implement it in our residence area. May be a hassle but it helps to reduce car stealing if it happens (provided the owner doesnt leave the card in the car)
Guard house area should be brightly lighted up with spot lights. Otherwise with CCTV installed, this would defeat the purpose esp at night.
ReplyDeleteIMO, guard house should be located at the middle of both lanes to better monitor the inflow and outflow traffic.
HI RA,
ReplyDeleteUnderstand that security fees will be collected at a quarterly basis with RM50/month.
I would willing to pay to secure my family.
But would like to know a bit more on the calculation and feedback as below:-
i) How many household in Puteri 11 (Primrose, nadia 1 & nadia 2)?
ii) How many guards are we hiring?
iii) Let's take a simple/assumed calculation:-
Guard wages = 4/hours*24hrs = RM 96/day/guard
IF there are 100 household paying, and paying for 20 guards = (100*50)-(20*96) = RM3,080 (Balance per month)
iv) May i know the usage of the balance? (Understand there were be some admin cost/maintainance cost/meeting cost) But it won't be cause so much per month right?
Need your advise on that as I don't mind paying RM50 per month, but need to know where is the usage of the money gone.
Also, can i suggest that all the financial (in/out) to be posted under this blog?
When we have built up the extra funds, we can then beef up the security with the use of latest anti crime equipments as was suggested. For a start, we want to collect enough money to pay the security guards salaries. The support of every resident to promptly pay up the security fees is essential. United we stand, divided we fall.
ReplyDeleteRA Committee
Under the new guidelines for Guarded Neighbourhood, the security guardhouse can only be built by the side of the road. IOI was half way building it in the centre of the road when MPSJ instructed them to move it to its current site. Puteri 11 is not a Gated Community as defined under the new guidelines.
ReplyDeleteRA Committee
Dear Sir,
ReplyDeleteLet me correct your maths!
You collect one month security fees and deduct one day guard wages? So you have a balance of RM 3,080 per month.
We will have 5 guards during the day and 5 guards during the night. At RM 4 an hour their wages will come to about RM 15,000 per month.
Total houses in Nadia, Olivia and Primrose is 471. Currently 120 houses are unoccupied.
Too bad you could not attend our meeting yesterday.
RA Committee
Currently only 351 houses are occupied. This will increase over the coming months when more residents move into Olivia and Primrose. We need 300 houses to pay up the RM50 per month to have enough money to engage the security guards at RM 15,000 per month. This currently equate to 85% (300 over 351) pay up rate.
ReplyDeleteRA Committee
The RA Committee will be available to meet and answer question from the residents. The meetings will be held every Saturday in the month of October 2010, at 5:00 p.m. at our Puteri 11 Playground.
ReplyDeletePlease help to inform your neighbours and friends in Puteri 11 about the meetings.
RA Committee
A BIG thank you to the residents who have volunteered to be our Road Representatives. Your concern attitudes, responsible actions and leadership qualities will contribute greatly to the success of our RA.
ReplyDeleteRA Committee
i am not RA nor volunteer commitee member. But i believe they have put in efforts to make puteri 11 a better living place, by communicating with MPSJ, IOI and residents. I feel that Anony 11/oct/2010 10:23am should give our commitee a chance to get things done, instead of questioning. If you do have better idea to resolve this security matter, i am sure the current RA would be extremely happy to hear from you and your help.
ReplyDeleteWe must be thankful for these group of people who took the initiative and trouble to set up the RA. Without the RA, how could we come together and get things done for the residents? Therefore, we must give our full cooperation and support to the RA. End of the day, its the residents that benefits from the RA and not the other way round! If we are not happy with the present RA, we can always elect a new team. But honestly, will there be volunteers among us to take up the responsibilities? Not me, what about you?
ReplyDeleteFor 6.55pm and 8.36pm, Thank you for your support and deep consideration to the RA and volunteer member. Hopefully we can have more considerate and understanding residents like you both, unlike Mr. Kuan. Lots of questioning but no action. Mr Kuan don't you forget "Action sounds louder than word". Since you have so much of doubts and concern at the same time, I suggest you to contribute yourself to help out the RA, I believe RA will learn lots from you and also we can achieve a better result in whatever we are doing. Don't you forget our RA is just formed and fresh, and we all learn& improve by making mistake or wrong decision. So let RA grow gradually and reach its maturity. Please do not expect to much out of anything, as Puteri 11 is a very new and young community in Bandar Puteri unlike Puteri 8, 9, 12 etc..
ReplyDeleteBesides we have been waiting for you last Saturday meeting at the park, however you have not shown up at all, if I am not wrong. If I do I apologise.
Look, I am just a volunteer member and have been helping RA for the past months in recruiting new members, yet I voiced neither any complaints nor any questioning to the RA, because we should be UNITED. Instead of blah blah here and blah blah there, put yourself forward with your strength and brain that we deemed Worthy. NO HARD FEELING PLEASE MR KUAN.
Alice
Hi! RA Committee. Now that we are all geared up to hire our own security, may I once again trouble you. The illegal signages man has appeared once again. You can see illegal signages tied to lamp posts right in front of our houses. Can you get the guards to dismantle these ugly signages? These people managed to come in because the guards let them in in the first place.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
We have written to Jessica of IOI Customer Service Unit to complain on the matter and to ask for their security guards to remove the illegal signages. We have also complained to MPSJ.
ReplyDeleteChiam
RA
Thank you for your prompt response Mr. Chiam. Let's just monitor how long IOI or MPSJ take to remove all those unsightly signages.
ReplyDeleteInstead of waiting for IOI or MPSJ to take action (don't know when) perhaps the residents and RA can organise a 'gotong- royong' exercise to remove the signages. What say you Nadia 11? Will there be many volunteers among our residents?

Dear Alice,
ReplyDeleteThe RA is very thankful to you for the hard work, initiatives and many hours you have sacrificed for us. Wish there are others who are like you. Our utmost gratitude to your family for their understanding and support.

Hi RA Team, Is your blog hacked? I read through my last posting and these characters were added on. ie. ':
ReplyDeleteI am baffled with some comments made. I believe this blog was created by Puteri 11 RA to disseminate info and receive feedback. So what is the problem for Anony 11/oct/2010 10:23am and even me included to comment and ask questions? Does asking Q's reflect that he or she is not giving opportunity for RA to work or not thankful or do not appreciate what RA is doing?
ReplyDeleteMs Alice, I humbly apologize for not turning up last Sat. No excuse. Yes, you are absolutely rite that i asked a lot of Q's, have doubts and also no action. So what you are saying is that I am inconsiderate and not understanding since I talk only and never come fwd to contribute to RA. Am I to understand that we are not suppose to ask questions and if so, as suggested by your goodself, must come fwd and contribute. Only then we are deem United and supportive. All the previous comments or issues raised by myself was to seek answers and clarification. I am not here to undermine the RA's duties, decisions, etc. BTW, complaining or asking Q's does not mean that you are not UNITED. Pls do not have mentality that if residents post Q's or seek clarification, we are then labeled as inconsiderate or not understanding. If one only expect to read good comments and same time expect all residents to pay up and not asking questions, then good luck. No worry, no hard feeling here. I have nothing more to contribute.
Hi! Anyone looking for a dog to adopt. Normal dog 1 year plus. loveable and brown.
ReplyDeleteWould love it if he can be adopted within Puteri.
Dear Mr Kuan and Ms Alice,
ReplyDeleteThe both of you can contribute a lot to the RA in your own ways. There is a meeting this afternoon, 5 p.m. at the Playground. Lets meet up to clear the misunderstanding and learn from each other. Its fine to have different views since our goal is the same.

Dear Mr. Kuan,
ReplyDeleteI think I have delivered my facts wrongly as it has been interpreted wrongly, I am sorry. Hopefully apology accepted. I am definitely pleased to see that you have lots of facts and factor and advises to the RA, however I was rather upset that you failed to show up for the 1st community meeting because we are so much expecting you. I have to admit that your questions raised are considerably helpful and contributive, therefore I am apoligise once more if you felt accused of being inconsiderate. I hope this apology can clear any misunderstandings btwn us. Hope to see you today for the meeting and hope to work along with you too. Truly I am sorry.
Alice
Dear Alice,
ReplyDeleteNo worry, no hard feelings. We are all matured adult. Like what Mr. Chiam said, we may have diff views but same objectives. I believe we are all supportive and 'passionate' to contribute in different ways. Sometimes, healthy 'sparring' gives birth to new ideas and suggestion, agree? Anyway, do accept my apology shd the way i worded my comments hurt anyone. I meant good.
Sorry for not able to make it today as I've promised my kids a field trip to Kuala Selangor. Were out since morning, just came back late evening.
Would love to meet to 'patch up' things. We are neighbors aren't we. Cheers.
Alice and Mr. Kuan is now friend.
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of straight-talk with respect.
Dear Kuan,
ReplyDeleteI am more than happy that we both have reached an understanding and also clearing off the misunderstanding between us. I do looked forward to work along with you and to share any ideas that are good, contribute and positive to make every possible things to work around and in our community here. Once again, I am sincerely thank you for your every kindness and big heartedly to accept my apology. I believe we shall meet in very near future and hopefully you can be part of the RA and I believe strongly you can play a big role in enriching the enviroment in Puteri 11.
All the best and have a nice weekend.
Before forgetting, I would like to thank our friend of Oct 24, 7.16AM for your every support and appraisal. Thank you. We are a Big Family here.
Cheers,
Alice
Thats the team spirit and positive attitude we want. Someone wrote last week 'Unity Is Strenght' and 'United We Stand Divided We Fall'
ReplyDeleteThe RA need the cooperation and support of the residents. We are not short of ideas and suggestions. We need volunteers to execute them. This is our challenge.
