No more anonymous comments

This website has deleted comments before in October 2009 because the comments were rude and personal attacks on some residents.

Since then, we have been very liberal and never deleted any comments. The recent missing comments are due to server problems. If you continue to encounter the same problem, please email to us your comments puchongputeri11@gmail.com and we will post it here for you.

This website is created for you, the residents of Puteri 11, to interact with your fellow neighbours and RA.

  1. Last time in your posting you said:

"This blog do not delete user comments. We do not know why the comments are missing. As explained before, the problem is most likely due to server or technical errors at the blogspot server."

Now in this posting you admitted that you deleted comments previously, apparently rude and vulgar ones. What is what now? So, you can delete and did that before and can also do it now lah.

You should explain clearer and admitted in the first place. Dont wait till user pinpoint your mistakes then only try to do 'crisis control'. Like the 'Wolf and sheep' story, too many lies, no more trust.

BTW, being liberal and honest are two different thing.

Our intention is not to make it difficult for members to post comments. Certain amount of control is necessary when comments start to get offensive and abusive which is against the spirit of our RA.

We do not know who these people are and they do not want to reveal their identities.

  5. This will discourage genuine user as they too wouldn't want to reveal their identity. A better way is to filter the comments before posting online. You justify whether to post or not. You are the administrator. You have all the right. No doubt more work, but hey, there's no free lunch!!!

Moreover, now you need mobile number to verify. Even worse. Why need to go to that extend. Perhaps you want to check ID by referring to your residence database? You are getting more paranoid now.

  6. Thank you for your comments. I think someone who is genuine should not have a problem revealing themselves. In fact, the RA is not obliged to answer any question from people who cannot confirm that they are members of our RA. The RA are not paid for their voluntary service to our community.

  7. Aiyo Mr. Chiam,

You already know very well your it is a non paid voluntary job. Why did you accept a role in the RA then?

Whether member or non-member, I think you have to answer to the question they have posed. Especially, when you would like every resident to become one, don't you?

  8. Tuntun chiam,

Then why not you introduce yourself and take up the position. But bear in mind NO PAY and must be committed to contribute wholeheartedly. Can you do it? I know there are people who can. And if you are one of those, I love to vote you to serve the community. Talk is ALWAYS easy. Just like what Im doing here right now!!!

However, as for Mr. Chiam's remark, am I to understand that because RA members are not paid that's the reason not to contribute? I personally think this mentality is absolutely wrong for any RA members especially you mentioned all this while it’s voluntarily. Am I right to assume now that lack of services, activities and inactive members were due to no money paid to you guys? Then why set it up in the 1st place. Was it set up just to protest the Condo project because it will affect the value of your house since you are staying in that part of the hill? All of you should know very well that RA is non-profit and that to expect payment in return of service is not right. YOU, as the chairman should know this VERY WELL. So why talk about money now? Just to answer Q’s in blog also expect money!!!

I feel its best not to think about remuneration while doing voluntarily job, unless the residents decided that it is justifiable that some sort of allowance paid to RA members in the future for their effort. Off course there must be sufficient fund to do so. BUT, do not EXPECT them? That’s’ the spirit of volunteer.

Oh, by the way, since you mentioned about money, RA are currently managing public fund so I believe that under your leadership, you are accountable to manage them in the most trustworthy manner. Look forward viewing the accounts during AGM.

So, again for tuntun chiam, do you think you can contribute voluntarily and wholeheartedly to be of service to our beloved Puteri 11 residents?

My personal view. Any residents care to comment?

  9. I was replying to the 'no free lunch' remark made. We all understand what voluntary service is all about. You will have the chance to view the accounts next month.

  10. Dear Puchong,

I think you get me wrong. Don't salah faham me lah. I am also questioning the chairman why he has to point out to us that his job is a non paid voluntary job. I also puzzle why Mr. Chiam accepted the post especially as a chairman when he already knew from the beginning that he is/has to contribute to the community on voluntary basis. AAnother word is, if he is not a big hearted person (calculative) he should not be running the RA in the first place. Please read again what I have posted earlier. I memang innocent you know.

Whether or not I can contribute to the community, I have to think about it lah. Let you know later.

Mr. Chiam, we know what the meaning of "voluntary". Voluntary with wholeheartedly is what it should be!

  11. Since puchong brought about the issue of money, I had a session with my neighbors and we were all discussing about RA issuing separate cheque from RA's bank account and Mr. Chiam issuing his personal cheque to same supplier for total payment incurred to purchase carpark’s sticker and security tags? Everyone is puzzle should there be any particular reason for RA to do so. Are we short of fund? Ideally, all transactions should be from our RA's bank account. Im no accounting person, we just thought it's strange.

Can anyone seek clarification from Chairman and the treasurer, Mr. Loke?

  12. Dear All,

I,m aware of this contribution by Chiam.

Similarly Kenny Lim(security committee)is sponsoring the paintings of arrow signs, parking lots, road dividers and sign boards.

I am sponsoring road cones and signage structure

We are doing this out goodwill.

This is out goodwill is commonly practiced in many RAs.

  13. Mahendra,

What is the contribution you are talking about? What is Mr. Chiam contributing to? To sponsor this coming xmas or to the new year countdown? Hey, may I asked how much has he contributed? Hurrah, finally RA is organising a party to us. We are really looking forward to partying soon.

Mahendra, one more thing which I don't understand is why you and Kenny Lim have to sponsor all the things you have mentioned there? Is it RA has no money? Is it resident cannot afford to pay? Or you people are trying to cover yourself since residents have been complaining of your inactiveness? So in this way you can have your ground by saying 'Hey, dear residents, I have contributed'! - Right Mr. Secretary?

We are scratching our head not knowing what is going on here!!!!! Me, Blur oredi.

Bravo Mahendra! There are so much to learn from you people.

Let's not forget to thank Kenny Lim and Mahendra for their generosity, of course!
