Dear residents, neighbours and friends,

Our Councilor Chang is going to arrange us a meeting with IOI regarding this development and is tentatively set at 5pm on 18th January, 2013, in order to meet your schedule.

theStar: Shah Alam and Subang saw many interesting personalities in the news

http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2012/12/27/central/12492811&sec=central

Alice Choo, Bandar Puteri 11 Residents Association chairman

In an effort to revive a dormant residents association (RA) in her neighbourhood, Alice Choo walked from door-to-door for two months to convince people in the 300 households of Bandar Puteri 11 to become members.

“We wanted to set up a security scheme and in order to do that, we needed residents to become members of the RA. I eventually was elected as chairman during an AGM three years ago,” said the 53-year-old retiree.

Since then, Choo has been vocal in raising issues affecting not only her neighbourhood but also Bandar Puteri and Puchong as a whole such as security, garbage collection, the development of a townhouse and condominium project in Jalan Puteri 11, and road access issues along the LDP.

Choo is also the Zone 16 Residents’ Committee (JKP) secretary and when two fires broke out in the neighbouring Kampung Tengah within a span of a month, she quickly rounded up support from her contacts to collect funds for the affected families.

“Our aim is to get them settled so that they have a roof over their heads,” Choo had said about her efforts, which also included collecting clothes and food items for the victims.

“I enjoy serving the community and it is something that I would continue to do. It’s fulfilling to see the fruits of your labour, like the zero crime rate in our neighbourhood,” said Choo.

Special Notice To All Residents

DEAR RESIDENT,

Our AGM will be held in early next year (2013).

I would like to suggest you to enlist yourself as a candidate for any post in the coming AGM, since we have been in tenure for 2 years as it will be healthy if a new team of people can succeed us and be involved in RA Responsibilities.

we look forward for fresh candidates.

For this purpose please send us your name on or before 5th of January, 2013.

Thank you and best regards.

Alice

    • proposed widening of the junction and it’s scale
    • proposed widening of the new T-Junction

Dear Cr. Chang and everybody,

We were advised by the immigration that the seizure of our guards is based on complaint made by someone from Puteri 12.

It’s a sad thing to know if this is TRUE.

Alan, we appreciate your investigation, but I assume it is a very difficult task for you to carry out.

I just hope this action is not the cause of our disagreement in closing the access road.

Furthermore, it is so sad to come to know about your SMS circulation to everyone and NOT me.

Besides, we should be the one to advise and alert everybody as we are the affected party NOT you though.

Anyway thank you very much to have helped us in advising the entire world.

Thank you again.

Alice

Puteri Hills pollution

Dear All ,

We, the residents of Bandar Puteri, wish to lodge a complaint against the Developer (IOI Properties) on the New Development of Town Houses being built at Puteri Hills.

The foundation works being carried out at the moment has inconvenient us, the residents at Bandar Puteri, as it has polluted our environment with dust particles which are being blown into our houses daily even behind closed doors. Our yard is forever dusty.

The environment has become very dusty, unhealthy and unbearable whereby we can’t do our simplest everyday chore like drying our laundry,  children with asthmatic problem are not allow to go outdoors because of the dust, etc.

We have enclosed herewith a video clip of the actual situation we are facing daily.  We hope the Chairperson of Bandar Puteri and Department of Environment are able to assist us to find an amicable solution with the Developer to our problem.

Thanks

Dear All,

I have located the orange car and also 2 of my missing dogs tonight Monday 19th November in Kajang.. The small Jack Russel and one of the German shepherds. The other is still not returned yet and I have given the dog nappers until 6 pm tommorow to produce it or face the consequences. I believe that male german shepherd was sold but recoverable.

Thanks to everyone for the tips. I have travelled far and wide to locate the dogs. I have visited practically all the Security Guardsposts in Wawasan/Puchong jaya and Bandar Puteri who were more than helpful.

Many thanks to Makkal Osai the Tamil daily and its Puchong Bureau Reporter Mr Gopi for coming to my assistance and running the story today. I have to really thank Makkal Osai for ending my anguish these last 3 weeks.

My lost dogs. Lost on sunday around 3 pm from around the CUBE area

I am distraught at losing my dogs and am busy looking for them in Bandar puteri/Wawasan area Puchong. Hope someone has found them and caring for them.

Anyone sees it please call or SMS me at 012 2909989/012 3992780

This is the latest. An eye witness has come forward.

He called me today to notify me that on Sunday approximately 2 pm, he saw the dogs being loaded in the back booth of an Orange (Not Metallic) Colour Proton Wira sedan by 3 Indian Chaps (aged around 20+) right in front of the Sri Alpina Junction towards the back of Puteri 8. He said many slowed down and saw and hopefully someone noted the Car No. . The car was slightly modified with a lower suspension and light tint. The car sped off towards the Wawasan area. He called me because he noticed my banners today.

I am now appealing to all residents/RA Committees and Apartments in Wawasan Puchong Jaya areas to sms or email me the address and Plate numbers of any neighbours or residents with Orange Colour proton Wira sedan owned by Indians. I am hoping to locate one by one till I find the person who found the dogs to get them to help me.

I hope to receive your assistance. All I want is the dogs back without fault and with no mention of WHO. Please sms me at 012 290 9989

Generous Donors For Kg Tengah Puchong Fire’s Victims

According to public understanding, JKP (Jawatankuasa Penduduk) is just a grass root, hands-on voluntary organisation handling general community’s problems and ensuring our Local Authority has attended to their complaints, which is an absolute fact.

JKP Zone 16 Puchong of today lead by Cr. Chang Kim Loong AMN together with his  active members, among whom include Chik CC (Vice Chairman/BP 9 Chairman), Alice Choo (Secretary/BP 11 Chairman), Mok Weng Onn (BP10 Melia), Jordan Kum (BP 10 Melia), Jacky Teh (BP 7 Secretary) and Peter Ng (BP 10 Banyan), runs the organisation with distinct self motivations, aims and perspective to serve the Community.

JKP Zone 16 Puchong embrace the belief in “working towards community bonding” as part of the Community Commitment to Social Responsibility to provide utmost assistance promptly and proactively when the need arises.

Thence JKP Zone 16 believes the importance in rendering help to a person or a family who had landed in an unfortunate situation and the assistance must be carried out quick to help reduce the degree of difficulty faced by the person or family at that moment and showered them the help when the help is needed most!

In a period of 2 weeks from end September to October, YB Teresa KOK informed the JKP’s Secretary regarding the plight of 6 families in Kg. Tengah, Puchong, who were unfortunate to have lost their homes and all other assets in a fire.  The team quickly approached the residents from their respective Tamans and friends and helped mobilised assistance to these 6 families.

Alice is being tasked to be on the lookout for donors to come and provide their assistance in all forms to help alleviate the difficulties experienced by the victims.

We wish to convey a big thank you to these caring reporters from China Press (Ms. Yong Siew Lan), Sinar Harian (Nur Furhana), The Star (Karr Wei) and NST (Dawn Chan) who have helped with the publications in highlighting to the public of our plea.

Immediately, Ms. Beh Swan Swan on behalf of Magnum Group initiated their supports by donating several thousand of ringgits, some food supplies and electrical appliances to all 6 families to minimize their hardship.

In addition,  Puan Siti Haja from SITI HAJA TEH, AZREEN AND KHUAN, and ADVOCATES & SOLICITORS has also donated in form of monetarism and supplying food to the victims.

We also received donations of cash and apparels from Puteri 10 Melia, Puteri 11, Puteri 9 and Puteri 10 Banyan Residents Associations, who shared the same compassions towards these victims.

YB Teresa KOK, our Cr. Chang and all 6 of us hope that these  assistance would be of some consolation  to these traumatised victims and earnestly wish that they will not have to wait too long for a more permanent shelter to be arranged by the relevant authorities.

We hope these caring and sharing spirit will bring forth impactful and tangible benefits to the Community and the People.

Some of our previous projects include:
  1. helping to raise funds for Autism School ie. AUSOM
  2. helping to raise funds for the disabled – Beautiful Gate

SECRETARY JKP ZONE 16 CUM CHAIRMAN OF Bandar Puteri 11, Puchong

Thanks
Alice

Alternative for the traffic jam @Toll Sunway

Hey all, Bandar Puteri folks!

Since Litrak had implement the new traffic scheme from the Sunway Toll that caused massive traffic jam after what they called the plaza B, me & frens tried to figure out other alternative and try & error method to avoid them. Did u know that actually we may use plaza A (the yellow sign, on the right lane) instead of plaza B to reach Persiaran Puchong Jaya Selatan & Jln Kenari?

Me & frens tried and it works!! We have to use Jln Layang-layang which located next to 101 Business Park & 1Puchong & it will take only 3 minutes from the plaza A to Persiaran Puchong Jaya Selatan & Jln Kenari, which I found much more convenient... :D

I think its good to share the infos with all of u since u have the poper blog to spread the news to peoples nearby. Sharing is caring ya? Ok, try ya.

TQ. ^ - ^

Conman Mosquito Spray

Dear Alice,

I would like to bring this to your attention.
Yesterday evening (say around 7+pm) a group of outsider came to our area 11/18 for mosquito spray.
One fella started from the end of the row, the other two went round to alert the owner.

One came to my door and rang my bell, he asked me to fill up my name and address, I thought they just need information hence I gave my name and address.
Little did I know that he asked for RM 120 / per year service charge, he says they will be spraying once in two months. I asked “who sent you here?” “who gave you  authority to collect money without asking conscience from home owner? But he kept quiet!

I refused to pay and say I don’t have money that day, he then asked me for deposit, I refused and asked him to come back other day. But he never come back after 2 nights.

What I would like to confirm with RA is we have never engage such service right? And even there is a need for such action , it should be under the MPSJ or MOH and we should not be charged?

I am afraid these are con man, please kindly post it on the website to alert the rest!

Thank you very much and god bless you!

Rgds,
Raymond.
