Crematorium Nearby

Hi,

I'm a resident from Puteri Bayu Apartment. I'm not sure if BP11 RA realize about the construction of the crematorium opposite Puchong Hartamas Phase 1 but here the link, http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2011/10/3/central/9584649&sec=central

And the residents of the new village nearby has protested and began collecting signature. A news from Sin Chew, http://mykampung.sinchew.com.my/node/160359?tid=6

I believe BP11 is also very nearby to the site, I just want to share out the news so all are aware to protest of that crematorium construction.

Thanks.
JC

  1. It is just about 500 meters away from Primrose if you get the measurement from Google Earth. It is going to affect the air quality when it is in operation.

  2. Dear CP,

I am sorry for the delay in replying your message because I was busy with my only uncle's funeral.

Again I am sorry that I am not awared of this crematorium issue and I am not promising you anything in the protest until I have more
information about it, probably you can tell me more about it.

I am quite blur about this project and I've not heard of this till I read it from our blog.

I supposed nearby residents should and would be notified before approving the project, am I right? Then how come nobody protested before and have to wait until everything is approved? This is something that I don't understand.

I was asked to protest, but not on political ground. I will agreed to it if it is purely for the sake and for the health of people.

I hope you understand as RA is not allowed to be involved politically.

I will act upon knowing the fact.

RA Committee Members: What's your view on this issue, please? I need to hear from you too.

    Thanking you.

    Yours sincerely,
    Alice
    Chairman
    RA BP 11

  3. Got to know the issue through the newspaper too. Just have the concern over the environmental impact to our neighbourhood, nothing to do with race, religion or politics.

  5. I do not see any political element here.

But the crematorium will certainly bring a lot of unwanted traffic to us. I do now wish to see a stream of vehicles that carry the casket to the crematorium on daily basis via the already small kampung roads.

and the graveyard that is already there is no longer in expansion. it means no new "occupants" will move in
(at least this is what i observe), so, why the crematorium here? i believe we have more lands for it elsewhere. I do not mind we go further to smaller unpacked area for the "burning" as i strongly believe people will just need to go there once in every blue moon. but the crematorium here in the vicinity of few schools and very close kampung baru? that really baffled me.

and the crematorium is just stone throw away from puteri bayu.

the traffic it will create I can only see it will bring worst case scenario seeing new condominiums are coming up and there is no way the kampung road can be widen. for any one time, to burn a body ( i do not know what will be the better language for this) i believe there are dozens of vehicles will be coming with it. 8 parking available? other cars will be parked by the roadside for sure. and i know perfectly fine we do not like the car parked at the road shoulder ;) if not, the police and mpsj won't need to come to tow the cars parked at puteri bayu...

    ;)
