  3. I nearly banged a lorry coming out of the road corner without stopping. Fortunately I was not driving fast. Neighbours and friends please be careful at corners even if it is the side road next to the playground.

Speed bumps is a very good idea. I believe it is the only method to reduce speeding.

  4. About illegal signboards. MPSJ seems to be sleeping. No action taken so far as illegal signboards are concerned. Some houses still have Ah Long advertisements right in front of their houses on lamp posts. Can anything be done about it? Thanks.

  5. bandar puteri 11???? new township?
speed bumps will give hindrance to ambulance and fire engine during emergency.
shall be done by authority not resident assoc. needs approval for gazetted roads.

  6. I said it one year ago, on this blog, time and time i said it again, no one seems to be bothered, SPEEDING is the main issue with Puteri 11
This is because, we stay in a hillside and the roads are nice for formula one races
Cars from Puteri 12 like to use our roads because there are no speed bumps compared to their own taman which is a nightmare full of speed bumps
I have raised this last year, and everyone seems to be only bothered about the high-rise condo that is blocking their view, depreciating their property value, causing traffic problems with only having 1 access road.
But what about safety, I have seen people jogging, walking, parents taking their kids who are on mini-bicycles, people taking their dogs for walk, and these cars speed like nobody's business.
When will we ever learn, do you need someone to die than only take action, I have seen so many cars lose control
Cars park at the side of the roadside corners are an accident waiting to happen, people coming out of their taman roads cannot see the cars coming down the hill because these cars are blocking the view creating a blind spot
Anonymous that said speed bumps give hindrance to ambulance and fire engine during emergency, well do you have a better solution than? If we dont put speed bumps, ambulance will visit our taman very often because people will get hurt from cars who are speeding
Me and my wife are so pissed of with this, many times we almost got hit by cars who are speeding, and if nothing is done, soon I will stop these cars myself and give them a earful in front of everyone in the neighbourhood.
Also I will start to publish car number plates who are speeding on this website if nothing is done.

  7. I agree with AXL yes do PRINT the number plates of these speeding dare devils. Some of these drivers are not youngsters but Mothers. I have in fact jotted down the car plates of these people and still trying to find out where they stay so I can drop a note.

    1) 15 June 2010, 7:44pm - WSY 9388 BMW (Blue)

  10. look for the car and hang a big NOTE on his porch so that the driver knows that he is a speedster in the area.
Make sure the note is big enough for the others to see as well

  11. it's a sad situation when everyone wants to be the enforcer for his/her own interests.

  12. The topic of speeding vehicles and speed bumps has been discussing long before the Puteri 11 RA was formally formed.
The same topic is put up again today for everyone to express their view. The question is what next? Dear our newly formed RA, what say you?

    ReplyDelete
  13. WSY 9388 BMW (Blue) and BKH 5209 Proton Gen2 (Genetic Silver), hmmmm this 2 cars I have seen before, speeding many times, next time I see, I will stand in front of the road, let the car driver come out of the car and advice him in front of everyone who is jogging.
Yes I agree with Anonymous, speed bumps has been an issue so old, I cannot remember like 2 years ago. But as what I said, everyone is only focusing on The Condominium development. To me the Condo development is a long and tough fight, we should not give up, but speed bumps, such an easy issue to tackle. I am just waiting for someone to get knocked down by a car, especially when jogging along the top of Puteri 11 hillslope, it is so dangerous.

  14. I know our RA and a few of our residents had made written complaints to MPSJ regarding speeding vehicles in our area. They also requested MPSJ to instal speed bumps along 11/1A, 11/1 and 11/13. Maybe, if more of us write in to complain, only then MPSJ will take action as only MPSJ is authorised to instal speed bumps on these roads. Surprisingly, I also know of residents who are not in favour of installing speed bumps! Maybe they never walk outside their houses, or worry over their precious cars or are fast drivers themselves. I suggest our RA do a residents signature petition and send it over to MPSJ to get them act fast. Will be interesting to know also how many % of our residents are not bothered by this issue!

  15. Ha! Ha! I am really intrigued and amused by the comments given. Let's ponder for a moment. To be able to purchase a house in Puteri 11 one must have the means to own one. Therefore, with the wealth earned one must have the brains to earn it right? So even on the subject of speeding in our neighbourhood calling each other idiots does not reflect the real status of the owners of Puteri 11. I am an owner and I am flabbergasted. Please take a step backwards ponder about your emotions and do what you think is right for yourself or your family. If you want to speed and fly off the cliff, kill someone and lend up in jail, or wose still someone speed emulating you and kills you or your family members that is your business! But don't brand us as idiots! Thank you.

  16. The 'Star People's Voice Carnival' will be held at Bandar Puteri on 4th July 2010. This is a good opportunity for our Puteri 11 RA and residents to voice our concerns directly to MPSJ during the forum to be held on that day between the residents and authorities.

  17. wealth, brain and attitude hv not correlation... wealthy people might not hv brain but with bad attitute...

btw, pls lah.. puteri11 houses only few hundreds thousand, pls dun put high on yourself on owning it... in addition, u r carrying the name of being the owner.. in actual fact, the bank owns it. unless u pay cash.. then i hv no words to say

    ReplyDelete
  18. wealthy or not, house owner or tenant these doesn't give you the right to speed on the road & endanger ppls live. If you really continue to do so...hope you wl fly off the cliff one day.. i wl send you some oranges & candles.

  19. Hey, having a house in Puteri 11 does not make you GOD, you are not filthy rich. You dont have to call yourself an "OWNER" whether the bank paid for your house or you paid by Cash. If you are filthy rich, you should stay in Bukit Damansara or something, not Puteri 11.
I find some owners who bought their houses in Puteri 11 think they are hell of a great people who are above everyone else who are staying below the hill. For god's sake its only RM 500,000 - RM 900,000.
If you bought a freaking huge bungalow and is staying next to Ananda Krishnan than I can understand why are you so arrogant.
I am an owner to, this is my second house, you dont see me bragging and calling myself an "OWNER".
Some OWNERS in puteri 11 think they are really great because they bought a house on top of the hill.
Next lets come to the topic of speed bumps. I have no issue people want to drive fast, kill their family, drive their car off the cliff of the hill, kill someone and go to jail. What I have a problem with is killing people on the road and endangering kids and animals.
I dont really care about the drive, I care about the people who are jogging, walking, running, kids, dogs, etc
Why must someone die because of this selfish idiots who think they are Michael Schumacher, you can do your Michael Schumacher in Sepang F1 circuit, go and rent and circuit for a day and kill yourself, no one will be around there to harm you, but residential area, come on. Its not a F1 Circuit. In Singapore these assholes would be put behind bars.
By the way, car number WMF 7841, stop speeding when you come out of your house, its freaking irritating, I dont know why you need to speed straight away when you start your engine.
Puteri 11/1A is the most dangerous road with dangerous curves that we have.

  20. MPSJ said they received RA and residents requests for building road humps in Puteri 11 and will come over to study the situation! Must keep bugging them every week until they come. You guys should also do it if you want them to act fast. Meanwhile just got to be careful while on the roads.

  21. I see some very effective speed bumps at KDE in the past (Kelab darul Ehsan). It is a double speed bump placed together consequtively. Both the bumps has a height much lower than of the speed bumps we go through coming up the hill beside Puteri 10. If you go through the bumps less than 30KM/h,, it is fantastically smooth, but beyond that, you will find the bump kiss your car body. It works by catching you through a rebounce rhythm of your car absorbers. So it will be gentle for a slow driver, but for those who wants to speed, they are welcome too try and test the hardness of the car vs the speed bumps...when you go over the second one.

I know some are concern that their cars absorbers get killed is we go through so many speed bumps.

  22. Spoke to MPSJ today regarding speed bumps : -

    1) Not many complaints from residence in Puteri 11.

    2) Speed bumps are costly they are still assessing the situation on how many to build and where to build.

    3) Make a fuss with MPSJ on why they are so slow at it least it will do some good. Write, email or at least call them 03-80263131

So far only 4 ppl have called them.

Pls pass all speeding car number to our RA registered address No 2 11/7 .

Just write it down on a piece of paper and drop it in the letter box. We have to be our own watchdogs.Pls help the RA out on this matter...

  23. What can the RA do with the speeding car numbers? Track down their houses and tell them not to speed! Will these people bother to listen?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dear RA, what can we do to help in pushing MPSJ for installing the speed bump ? What is their email address and can you provide the template or sample of the letter?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sometimes feel tired because MPSJ always use the standard response, investigating, not many complaints, not within their control etc.

But i will continue to send in my concerns.

I found several street lights not working, very dark at night. MPSJ purposely turn it off izit, too many complaints from BP11. haha

  26. Last night the street lamps near my house was lighted after not working for two nights. The MPSJ hotline no. is 603-56376545. Try call them but not easy getting through. Must be many complaints they received daily.

  28. I went to MPSJ office in USJ5 to write in my complaints. There is a complaint counter there and the staff will give you a sample form for you to write your complaints. Very easy to do. Can write in English also. I understand they are open on Saturday. Lets all go if we want see some results.
    Go Go.
