The Dog Incident

I am a dog owner and I walks my dog at the park every evening (when nobody is around at the park). My dog is always leashed and I always carry newspaper to wrap the dog-shit away. I take pride in that we have a beautiful and safe green park.

There was an incident just now that exasperated me.

I saw another dog owner walking her dog. She had allowed her dog to shit on the grass near the TNB station:

Me: Did you bring newspaper to wrap the dog-shit away? People might step on the shit.

She: The shit is on the grass. Nobody walks here anyway.

Me: But the shit will smell and stink and people do walk there. There is a house just across the road.

She: Why you let your dog at the park? The sign says no dog allowed.

Me: But I always carry newspaper and wrap the dog-shit away. I always leave the park clean.

She: (Walks away)

I did not mean to pick up quarrel with anybody and I have no control over anybody's actions.

In the eye of the law, she is right. She followed exactly as stated in the MPSJ signboard, which is no dog at the park.

In the spirit of the law, she is wrong. The objective of the no-dog rule is to ensure the park remains clean and safe. But by letting her dog to shit at the grass (albeit outside the park), she had dirtied the place and made everybody suffer from her irresponsible actions.

It is our collective responsibility to keep Puteri 11 clean and safe for everybody, not just at the park but the whole of Puteri 11.

In another incidence, the other day I saw a lady walked with 4 dogs from Puteri 12 to Puteri 11 and she did not carry newspaper. Puteri 12 dog-owners please be considerate too.

  2. i think u guys better stop all this dog shit blogging business, truth to be told, you guys are just kinda HARAM in mentality. Furthermore by confronting lady dog owners, are you asking for trouble when the man comes along ?

  3. After all debates, all dog owners should do their part to let all Puteri 11 residence to have a better stay. Try to help each other so that we could resolve problems in a better manner. No point arguing who is right or wrong but just do your part and always think from other people point of view!

  4. you who write the "HARAM" thing...this is what malaysian getting to "TIDAK APA" attitude. This is the place we are gonna stay for a longtime if not forever. Pls take a small steps to make this place a nice place to stay. This is not only abt cleanliness of Puteri 11, there is also many things we need to educate the resident here. eg SPEEDING, GOING THE WRONG WAY ON A ONE WAY STREET & PARKING.

so you wl let the bigger person bully you when the above thing happen TO YOU???

  5. Man or lady is not the point. The point is he/she is selfish. She would not let her dog shit in front of her house but yet she takes her dog to somebody's front house to shit.

  6. Shall we put up some sign boards around that area (like the picture) ?

May be one in front of his/her house - (this one just kidding) :p?

... one concern, the place where the sign board is put up might become the new spot for the dog shit..

  7. frankly speaking, bringing my dog to the park and seeing other owners doing the same, this our prerogative, if you guys dun like it, that's not our problems anyways if i were to see a lady owner being confronted, well that is indeed asking for trouble. by the way, you can put up all the sign boards all u want, it aint going to change anything, better still hang it up it up in your own abode

  8. I wish to highlight a irresponsible house owner who stays in 23 Jalan Puteri 11/12.

The owner owns a black Doberman dog. Every night the dog will howl (not bark) eerily by itself. I understand if it barks at someone if nearby the house as it is suppose to protect but this is not so.

Secondly, every morning around 4-5 am, the dog will play with an big iron plate (probably where the food is used to feed it) thus waking the whole neighbourhood along that street.

I can't understand why the owner is not doing anything about it to prevent all these noises as i am awaken by these noises every night & morning.

Small polite notes have been left in the owner's letterbox but still no improvement.

I am seriously considering highlighting this case to MPSJ if this continues as my school-going children have been affected as well.

Perhaps maybe, can residents of Puteri 11 offer some suggestions to resolve this issue ?

  9. come on, if you guys dun have the balls to talk and face your neighbours for a decent discussion on harmonious living; dun start picking or starting complaints based on dogs.Especially, writing badly and posting all the nasty remarks ONLY in here. Guts up and go confront your neighbours, dun be some gentleman hypocrite knowing only writing feel good remarks in here or into ppl letter boxes. these animals are born to be playful, if you can only complaint on dogs, why dun u write to the YB and ask to ban all dogs nationwide or statewide ? you animal balls licker

  10. Most dogs are playful, my dog also, but being playful and no disturbing anyone would be better, isn't it? Nobody asks to ban the dogs here, they just ask us (dog owner) to be responsible on our dog. Dog doesn't know that playing with its plate will disturb neighbour, but u owner, u know it, so do something about it.

  11. Thank you, Maple !

You are considerate & wise dog owner !!

You are absolutely right as nobody mention about banning or killing any dog.

Can't the owner take away the plate at night after feeding the dog so that it won't be a play toy in the wee hours of the morning ?

i hope the owner reads this msg

  13. The house owner with the doberman dog at puteri 11/12 strikes again !

last night, 2 nov the above happened again.

the dog might be stupid and can't think but the dog owner can think, right ?

why don't the dog owner replace the noisy steel plate with a rubber plate so that the "clanking" noise won't be so loud at nite ?

Pls be considerate to your neighbours as your dog plays with the plate and makes the "clanking" noise that can be heard thru the whole street

  14. I am a dogs lover, i loved all kinds of dogs, but as a dog owner, owners are not animals, and we dont have to be highly educated to understand we are responsible to our own pets behaviour if it has caused our neighbour uneasy.

Frankly, I am also one resident who is a victim has to clear, wash and clean someone's dog shit in front of my house EVERYDAY since i moved in more than a year.

How ethical can you be allows your dog/s (pets) shit at ppl house except yours.

My friend stays at Kota Kemuning, it is not the guarded housing area. But they practice, whoever walk their pets it must be chained and the owner has to bring newspapers and plastic begs to pick up the dog shits. This is what i saw with with my own eyes, many walks the dogs, ALL the owners carried paper bags and newspapers

It is such a good practice, what's wrong of doing it in Puteri 11 ?

Their place is very very clean and makes the place looks high class. and i feel all the owners there left ppl very good impression, educated and considerate to all the rest of the ppl who live there( at least when they were told, they UNDERSTAND ) ... but sadly said small group of the residents in Puteri 11 DONT, some more think that others over react and only they are right? what kind of attitude they have ... THESE PPL PURELY SELFISH... this is what we need to improve and lack of.

Is regardless men or ladies, if you walk the dog and allowed your pet to dirty public's area.. You better dont owned any pets as you are not qualified.

Yes .. I 100% agreed take the pictures of theirs when their pets shit everywhere. Post it openly in this blog. Cos i dont think public place is for their dogs to messed up.

Again i said, i am turly a dog lover, but allow your dogs to do whatever you want is not acceptable just like the shitting everywhere and making noises at the wrong time, especially the owner can just removed the metal food tray.

If we cant stop them in d nice and polite way, just let MPSJ authority to stop them in the harsh way by not issue any licence to that dog's owner in year 2010.

Just dont sign on the letter of agreement to continue their licence!! Simple as tht !

If advices they cannot accept, they have to learn the hard way

  15. Dear anonymous Nov 3, 2.45pm,

I didn't know that one must get the agreement from neighbour. Is this has to be done annually?

I wonder why my neighbour never ask from me ... interesting.
