This is my shoe

This is my shoe.

This is my shoe after stepping on dog-shit at the park.

This is my shoe after stepping on dog-shit at the park because some dog owners still do not pick up after their dog.

This is my shoe but next time it could be your shoe.

Please bring newspaper / plastic bag when you let your dog shit outside your house. Nobody likes to step on dog-shit.

  1. some people are just not that thoughtful. you see them bring the dogs to the park and you might think these owners should be aware of the end products, but ......we are the ones that ended up stepping on the shit!

  2. And I dont understand, why the park. We are lucky as we have quite a number of open area surrounding us. Why not the hillside where no kids are playing there?

  3. My concern, what if the dog gets loose, bites the kids? My friend's own dog (after rearing for years) bites him. And dogs biting children, such case happen before. The kids are running around and what if the dog thinks they are his prey.. The notice board already stated "NO DOG". Can we emphasize on this "NO DOG IN PARK" during the Sunday RA meet-up?

  4. I support! No dog at park.
Kathleen is right, may be we can designate the hill slope as dog shitting area.

  5. What is more important is that the dog owner collect the shit immediately. If the dogs go to the hill slope to shit, then the shit will flow into the drains, then the monsoon drain and into the river thus polluting our ecosystem.

  6. The dogs done nothing wrong in this case but the owner who shud be responsible. And we also can't blame all dog owner, there are good owner too... suggest we take the pictures of bad owner & post it on a bulletin board in the park to shame them.

  7. I think once RA is being set up, we should circulate flyers and highlight all these so that we could build a sustainable community. We shall voice out our concerns in this blog so that RA could tackle accordingly.

  8. Stopping the dogs going to park will not solve the problem. The dogs will do business else where like at corner house, empty land, etc. The n the smell will still come back to you.

We have to educate the owners. Owners must know that when they dirty the place, eventually they will suffer too. They may have nice house but once they step outside, it will be dogshit everywhere.

  9. lets tone down a bit, we have plenty of dog owners around our neighbourhood; it is a dog's nature to pee n poo on grass area...so where else can the dogs go ? hillside so full of stones n dangerous slopes....lets not make a mountain out of a molehill and be tolerant for one another's good being

  10. so u support the dogs to continue to shit at the park and for the owners to forget to pickup after the dog?

we are very tolerant here. we just want people to pickup after their dogs. is it asking too much?

you see, it is not about stepping on dogshit. it is about dogshit can cause foul smell, bring flies, flies bring illness and so on. Then people will ask why puteri 11 always fall sick ....

  12. Dear all,

May I bring your attention to the notice board located in the part itself (erected by Majlis Perbandaran). In no uncertain terms, dogs are not allowed in the park.

    Thank You.

  13. I do collect my dog shit everytime i take my dog out and not only at the park. I agree that we should educate dog owners to pick-up after their dogs poop. It makes me feel bad everytime i see dog shit in the park also 'coz if some of dog owners still don't care about this, soon people will complain and then no more dog in the park forever and i don't want it to end up that way.
PS. there are some dog owners who always after their dog shit.

  14. Why must bring the dog to the park? Park is for children to play, adult to do some exercise or the old to walk. Not for dog to run around. Why must bring a dog to the park? Shitting is one thing, biting is another. What if some unfriendly dog get loose and bite the kids. Such incidents happen. Already quite crowded for the kids to run around, cycling, kite flying... need to spare space for dogs + dogs shit? Why must bring the dog to the park ??? I see people playing qi gong at the hillside in the morning. What so dangerous about walking the dog there?

  15. I was in the playground yesterday(Wed) with my children. So happen I heard one lady calling another lady name "xxxxx". She said "xxxxx", your dog has done the business on the ground, could get your maid to collect and throw it. Guess what!!!! she responded, it is? I forgot to bring the plastic bag and ended the conversation.

  16. Dogs are part of our family, it is their nature to relieved themselves in the nature with grasslands around, hillside slope, is dangerous for some ppl, it is subjective, just like why some ppl do not like dogs in parks. This is outright discrimination. The dogs cannot explain themselves, we the owners will !!

  17. now this is getting emotional, agreed that the park is a place for rest & relax. Everyone should keep it clean. Dog poop ( so ban dog for coming in ). What if those people who spit their phlegm or children who pee at the gazebo? ( ban them fm coming to the park? ) Of course no rite. THis is a matter of how civil minded the people & dog owner are, don't be hashed to ban anything, lets put up notice to educate everyone and make Puteri 11 a happy community & not divide between (non-animal & animal lover.) hatred among each other is the last thing we need here. Lets be tolerance & give sometime to everyone to change & cope to this new community.

  18. I agree, it is about the owner. If every owner being responsible for the environment, such thing like stepping on the dog shit will not happen.

I don't have dog but my neighbour has. They never take proper care of their dogs, it is very smelly (I can smell it inside my house) .. dog lice even jump in to my house. It is bad and dangerous for my kids :(

puteri 11, high wealth, highly educated residents .. but

  19. i think this is going to create a great divide amongst residents, this should not be an issue and likewise we should avoid possible discrimination that could steer us into bad feelings towards neighbours who keep dogs. Give them the rights to exercise their civic sense

  20. Hi All,

Please don't ignore the notice board by MPSJ - it is a municipal regulation that dogs are not allowed in the park. Period!

We do respect residents who keep dogs, including those who take them as their family member. So please kindly 'educate' your pets to pass motion at the right place. If not, please ensure the 'scene' is cleared properly.

Keeping dogs is non-issue at all. In fact that helps to deter rampant cases of burglary. However, it will be a civil issue if dog owners were not considerate and didn't care about the well being of others and causes inconveniences.

My sincere BIG THANKS and UTMOST RESPECT to dog owners who took the trouble of cleaning up the mess after your pets completed their 'business'.

I disdain and scorn those who are utterly inconsiderate and walk away from the 'scene', which does not limited to park but also near the walk way of houses of others! Yes, granted dogs can't communicate and think for human, but what does that make owners who have the intelligence to walk their dogs and also selfishly care to ensure dogs don't shit in their home or compound? To me it is the same like they themselves shit everywhere!

Please let us work together to make sure we live in this beautiful place in harmony.

    Cheers!
