New security guard house in operation

The new Puteri 11 security guard house is now in operation. It looks much more comfortable than the previous temporary guard house. Thank you IOI.

Building the guard booth is the easy part. The hard part is empowering the guards and support them to enforce strict entry for all vehicles. How can we as owners do that?

Currently guards identify owners' cars from the Puteri 11 car stickers. Each owner is given 3 stickers by IOI (Please request from IOI if you need more).

As construction and renovation is on-going, many contractors also need to enter Puteri 11 often. Maybe we can create a "contractor" stickers for them.

All other cars without sticker will need to register at the guard house before allowed to enter Puteri 11.

In the future, when Primrose owners have moved in, we can setup even more strict checking, like touchngo access cards, etc.

We will encounter some toothing problems and hopefully all owners can be patient and supportive. A good security will mean a safer living environment for all of us.

  1. I concur to the above suggestions. We would also need "Visitor" passes, a log book to register the incoming and outgoing visitors by leaving their I/C or driving license.

Furthermore, I am not sure whether IOI would furnish the guardhouse with table, chairs and other facility like a fan?

In future, we can put up CCTV as well to further elevate the security level.

  2. 1. believe this new security guard system (manual gate) is sufficient. changing it to touch&go type would not increase any value in term of security effectiveness but cost of maintaining it would be much higher.

    2. noticed security control in some offices in KL use camera to CAPTURE driver face + Car planet number. Maybe also snap IC. This will make visitor a faster & efficient way to pass thru checking point without creating irritating cars behind. quite interesting & efficient but not sure of cost of maintaining it (camera system).

    3. suggest IOI to provide basic necessity to those guards. Hygience and tidiness (include cleanness of surrounding area) of guards are equally important to reflect their standard of services. Hope IOI would not those repeat mistake done by some security guards.

    4. As for the dog owner who allows her dog to shit around, please do not feel offended. Cleanness of puteri 11 is collective committments from all puteri 11 residents. we cannot complain our house compound is dirty if we did not stop our kids from throwing rubbish around.

  3. And we need all residents to be patient when the guard is stopping and registering an outsider car. Currently the gate is at one side, not like Puteri 12 where it's in the middle (which I think better). So, don't try to cut queue and run into the opposite lane. Dangerous.

My two cents only, we should NOT introduce the unchecked resident lane like puteri 12. What's the point to have this easy access (loophole) when we want a tighten security.

  4. One question, what will happen to the guard house between Puteri 11 and 12? Are we going to retain it? Get rid of it? Share the security with Puteri 12?

  5. oh oh... do they have a toilet? Where do the guards go for pee pee and poo poo?

  6. Now that the guardhouse is much further. Wl the guards make less regular rounding around our hses? Please make sure they don't give excuse like too far. I think there should be atleast 3 or 4 rounding our hses every hour or so..not all of them stack inside the new guardhouse that i think wl be big & comfortable for all of them. How come the guards do not carry a stick of something to protect the resident when needed? Are they just for show? ( Small & skinny, even my kids r not afraid of them )

  7. Didn't u all notice double standard by developer... puteri 12 get automatic gate with guardhouse at the middle, but puteri 11 is only the cheapskate manual gate...

  8. i think puteri 12 RA paid for the guardhouse

  9. Puteri 11 RA should get advce from Puteri 12 RA since they had experienced all these issues before.

  10. don't think puteri 12 RA paid for the guardhouse... if that is the case, terrace house owners "subsidize" the rich bungalow owners for the guard... would u do so??

    ReplyDelete
  11. Bungalows were built long after the guardhouse was built.

  12. maybe should get BAYU PUTERI residents then to subsidize puteri11 residents since they are always parking n narrowing the access road, in a way, ever since staying here, I have daily privilege in learning how to hone my driving skills like F1 car squeezing hehe...get them to pay for automated gates hahaha

  13. i think puteri11 ra sux....so much talking n postings but mean while security is getting lax n houses getting burglarized....

    ReplyDelete
  14. sux? don't forget u not paying any money for ra now. ra is volunteer work. tell me how much u willing pay every month.

i think ra has done well. please keep up the good work.

  15. to me, puteri11 RA has done very good job. They are volunteers who spent their personal time to do all these thing.

To the person who said puteri11 ra sux, i don't understand why you still following this blog if you think it is not useful.

Don't ask what people can do for you. Ask yourself what you can do for the people.

  16. To the person who said "puteri11 ra sux"...

i m not here to pick up a fight with you, but do not be hypocrite. we (all puteri 11 residents) are contibuting ideas to improve things around us... if you do have only negative & destructive allegations/ideas, better leave us alone!! u r not welcomed here.

  17. both puteri12 and puteri11 are not gated & guarded residential. by right anyone has right to enter the area (with or without registration is up to the person's discretion). Puteri12 should allow puteri11 to use 'their' road by 'recognising' their stickers and vice-versa for the sake of convenience. Correct me if i'm wrong.

  18. you guys who called puteri11 ra sux :D i fully concur...however with the point in mind, you guys also doing most of the talking (bitching) in here and no actions done....so far what r the follow ups on the major stuff like security and condo protest acts ? balls lickers you guys :P

    ReplyDelete
  19. so easy to be anonymous arm-chair-critic. why dun you try to support the ra too. if the ra sux/fails, the owners suffer too.

    ReplyDelete
  20. come on ladies and gentlemen, a blog should be allowed both equally for good and critics to be sounded out. What is the point when only "nice things" are being posted, we need critics equally as well, as long as they are facts I concur with puteri11 ra sux in this context with facts given that security is indeed very much lax and I even saw some indon workers standing far off some houses, cant help to get the impression that they are very much like having "ideas" did anybody notice that ?

    ReplyDelete
  21. i agree critic is ok. but after critic you should also do something about it. dun just sit in front of the computer and critic. at least the volunteer ra people go attend meeting, talk to mpsj, print banner, etc.

if you really feel lax security, then go do something about it. talk to the committee. provide some suggestions.

maybe the ra cannot do much now bcos people like you who prefer to talk only but no support action.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Look, someone just cannot differentiate constructive feedback and criticism .. no point arguing with someone who just critic without offering value

    ReplyDelete
  23. yeah especially like the ones who keep saying no point arguing, these are the biggest hypocrites

  24. To Puteri 11 RA and residents may I congratulate you on your or rather us on working together. I have seen that many of us have made efforts to care for each other. My report on the unsightly advertisements on lamp posts for instance. Today as I drove home I was greeted with a pleasing sight. I saw the security guards going from lamp posts to lamp posts taking down these illegal advertisements. Keep it up Puteri 11 RA. Clap clap clap clap clap clap!

  25. I do not know about you guys, but security people are humans too. We are not paying anything at this moment and yet we are being provided the privilege of having security guards making their rounds in our neighbourhood. At times I do buy them drinks to appreciate them. Imagine them in the hot sun or in the dead of night. Let's appreciate them. I'm sure they'll do better when they feel they are being appreciated.
